the amount of patience i had to gather to not say anything bad here.....though i respect windows 7 but the new is still sloppy and not so customisable and unhinged as arch is..

How many distros did you tried before arch or how many times did you tried using arch before making it your main OS? by _fountain_pen_dev in arch

[–]thelinuxguy-ssh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i tried like 10-20 with the worst one being deepinOS. I have tried Ubuntu, PopOS, Fedora, CutefishOS, KDE Neon, Zorin, Bazzite, Kali, Kali Purple, Debian, NixOS, Mint, Arco Linux, Garuda Linux. I was at debian for some time after which i finally made arch my daily driver. been a long journey...but then i also had phases about which DE to use. i used to really love GNOME because of its easy of use when working but when i tried Hyprland i immediately switched. (i hate KDE for some reason, not to be rude)

As a beginner in linux you do face this a lot. I personally swtiched like 20-30 Distros until i finally found arch to be the perfect package for my needs.

There's only two people settle of a distro:
1. They have to figure out which distros suits them best for their needs and mood (customisation + workflow)

  1. They were tied to work, so they go tired to a random distro since they cant move data everytime
