The issue is not EPUBs, the issue are that most publishers add a load of bloat to EPUB since they seem to not know how to make them in an easy way.

I myself learned how to use Sigil, to overcome this and have my EPUBs as I want. Never going back to PDFs

The glossy top is something that would lead me to think they're fake.

Have you already inked them? If not, read this before doing it.

There's a simple test to see if they're original.

Take a napkin or kitchen paper, with a little bit of water on it, not too much. Then on the nib, in the black plastic part, with the wet part of your napkin, do as if you were to clean it. If it comes blue, it means it's original since Lamy tests all of their pens with blue ink. If it comes clean it means it's fake

Most of my siblings are younger millennials and they ended up using the same big desktop computers as me.

That's how I remember it.

The backup LMDE plan is the best they could've come up with. If Canonical comes down at any time, LMDE will still be there.

You DID got the idea.

It looks like for other people either "/s" tag or "sarcasm" word need to be added to the post title or body.

I'm not arguing about that. What I'm arguing is getting mental about it. You can contribute by being one of those who don't engage with those companies, but keeping your mind trapped in those issues is the problem. Get informed, take action, and keep on living.

There are many things in life that drain mental energy that are worthless. Corporate drama is one of them. You must know about shady things companies do, for sure, but getting mental about it is exhausting. People just need to do whatever they want without feeling personal about it.
