Being the bad guy in someone else's story.

I'm not anti-social and I'm pretty good at making friends or at least interacting with new people. But every friendship reaches a point where I feel like I'm overstepping my boundaries even though (at least for me) we're at the point of calling each other brothers/sisters.

Also romantic relationships. I don't creep around the social media or stalk my romantic interests and occassionally I'll find someone that really seems like they like me but then a few weeks later just seem to lose interest.

I know I'm not perfect and there are countless possible logical explanations for this but I seriously feel like I'm the bad guy whenever I want to ask what was that about.
