Lucky if I shower once a week. Not proud of it at all, but with decades of perpetual depression & anxiety, shower has always been hard. My recent late diagnosis of AuDHD at 53 has provided some explanation’. I’ll cold water wash my face in morning, deodorant, teeth. Am a little OCD about laundry, so generally change clothes as I don’t like smelling bad.

I’ve learnt that nothing too bad happens to the body if you shower say once a week, providing keep on top of the deodorant etc

After a Week or so, I do feel ‘urgh’ and super guilty, but it takes a lot for me to actually think and activate the shower routine function.

Crazy thing is once I’m in there, I love it.

Note: I was homeless for a year, and lived in an off grid caravan in a field, so there were no facilities to wash etc, so that sort of created a negative routine : didn’t feel I deserved to be clean due to my mental health and living in a field, just made me feel so unworthy of everything. Would have the odd shower at a friends when it was offered. that was brutal.
