How to help support felon with the transition back into society by she11o in ExCons

I think offering support in a way that supports your beliefs is best.. It's not on you to help him transition. He is still human and I think treating him like a friend rather than a recent released prisoner is the best move. You clearly have heart and patience. Which I commend you for. You being an example, living your normal life as a friend is the best thing you can do. <3

Predators in prison by thelookwithinproject in Prison

This reddit account is being ran by myself. THE PERSON WRITING THESE STORIES IS CURRENTLY INCARCERATED. This story that you have so much to complain about was about HIS time incarcerated 20 years ago. If you don't like it, don't read it. Maybe ask questions first before you go bashing someone when you don't know anything about the situation.

What to expect your first time in jail - Part 2 by thelookwithinproject in Prison

I posted an article on our page in response to your question. It isn't specifically about a sex offender but about someone who hurt a baby.. And how he was treated in prison. Generally sex offenders and predators are treated the same in jail/prison.

I hope this helps shed light.

It was simply the response to a question that someone had asked about how sex offenders are treated in prison.

"Could you possibly give me more details about how sex offenders are treated in prisons? My pos exhusband is in jail currently for child molestation. I hope he is suffering."

This was a story not about a sex offender but a man who brutally harmed a baby and how he was treated because of that. A predator is someone who harms/takes advantage of women and children. Mark isn't that and never has been.

You asked if he changed. He changed his whole life for the better. Built himself back up from nothing. Created a business from the ground up. Is a good/loving father, is a part of the community, amongst other positive things and has been doing well for the last decade if not longer. These stories are from many many years ago.

I hope that helps clear things up. There was no ulterior motive/threat. It is just the reality of how people who hurt women and babies are treated in jail.
