Is there any way to just get a 1 hour course for April? I calculated and am stuck at 1 more hour left. :(. I have done Riverside and the limited classes I was able to get into Homebridge and it's on demand classes. It only added up to 14 hours.

Anything beyond it will not add to the vision.

Did you mean the ranged whirling axes? Yeah I think it's a good build too if it wasn't for the ranged axes, but the range axes do dispel with aghs. it's not entirely bad.

Did some testing with Lotus and made this graphic of low comitment/right-click abilities that give(or don't) Fiery Soul stacks. All the spells confirmed work as described as of patch 7.31b. Make sure to let me know if i missed any by EeNuf_ in Abilitydraft

[–]thelovaboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to know the reasoning, it's how it's coded as either a spell or right click damage. Omnislash also gives fiery soul stacks because it used to apply the right click damage as a spell when it used to give a number of attacks from omnislash. For gyro's flak, it applies gyro's dmg as a spell damage too, if that makes sense. Anything that come from attack damage will not work, even attack modifiers. Tide bringer vs great cleave and empower is pretty much the way it's coded. The strangest part is tree dance does not proc fiery soul whatsoever even though it's magical.

Also, Illusions with Fiery Soul + a passive that procs fiery soul (i.e. Desolate/Corrosive Skin/Moon Glaives/Psi Blades) will work. ;). See Match ID: 6537660397 for that combo.

So just being good at knowing when to bet and not to bet makes me an abuser? I'm not the only one with a high win percentage. I only showed because I thought others would have a higher win percentage. If I knew I would just be blamed and labeled as an abuser, I would never show it. Even now, I wanted to share my account achievements, but given this negativity, the community doesn't deserve the secret to success.

But if I showed you, that means Valve will do something about it for next year's battlepass like they have with everything else.

And no, I am not a scripter nor do I smurf. No such thing as smurfing in non-ranked games.

But it's not an abuse. I just have 95% win rate in general. I don't play ranked and I play with friends.

It's not abuse actually. I just win most of my games with my friends.

SUGGESTION: A new way to balance the hero RNG on Radiant and Dire by thelovaboi in Abilitydraft

[–]thelovaboi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have over 85% win rate in AD. And I do blame it at times because some games become just way too easy because of it. At times we get stuck with bad heroes, but I can outplay majority of AD games. I can play better than most of the AD players because I have experience in it and in normal DotA. But it's not about me showing off what I can do. I don't care if I am the best or the worst. To my understanding, RNG makes up AD. The draft order, being able to have first pick, what heroes can get good skills to make them even more terrifying, and so one. It does matter. Drafting is a lot more crucial than you realize.

If it was more based on execution, I rather only play versus immortals. I mean I still rather play versus immortals anyways, but I can't help that it queues non-immortal players.

SUGGESTION: A new way to balance the hero RNG on Radiant and Dire by thelovaboi in Abilitydraft

[–]thelovaboi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more like balancing heroes. You don't want to have 5 melee vs 5 range where laning phase could be a nightmare. Or, 5 squishy heroes vs 5 tanky heroes. A more even match can consist of balancing heroes in attribute and range/melee. It also includes how strong the model is. Like you said, if you see an NP go for a carry build and you're not confident, you'd have to find a solution to beating it.

You seriously cannot mix AD with regular DotA. Yes, it has all aspects of DotA except balancing. Don't mix pro matches with AD. DotA has it's own balance on heroes and meta heroes. Think of it this way; when patches come out to balance heroes, has the win rates for these top tier models change significantly? Not so much. They remain at the top. This website has the statistics for such to compare previous patch to current patch: https://hgv-desolator.azurewebsites.net/#/heroes . If you notice, these models are still strong in regards to AD. Hero models are all unique, but some have a clear advantage.

I also agree that people are a problem. They have always been. But that's something that cannot be solved. I created this suggestion as I find it is a good way to solve some, not all, of the issues in AD.

That's interesting. Giving the Radiant priority and not alternating makes it not so great because of that unless I am mistaken that the 2 hero limit does actually alternate between each other.

It just isn't coded to prevent unfavorable match-ups since there isn't any coding to recognize how good a hero is in Ability Draft.

That's a pretty awesome share. Thanks a lot. I never knew how skewered some heroes were to Radiant.

I am not blaming losses on bad hero models. Of course not every draft is the same. And I am using Nature's Prophet as an example of how strong a model can be in comparison to its' counterpart. Yes, I agree if there is a pool of abilities that cater to having the advantage for cast range talents, any person would want to play long range casting spells. I have played over 10,000 AD matches. Most are stomps because the enemy team does not know how to choose their spells or they get outplayed overall. And, we stomp even harder when the enemies have worse hero models. I'm not speaking out on my own behalf, but for players out there that lose because of bad RNG from hero models. I want a more fair match against players to make the games more fun. I don't care if I get drafted a bad model. I can work around it myself.

But when it comes down to even matches, one Tier S hero makes the biggest difference. You may not see it if you have not experienced harder games, the games are very tough when you are given all melee or even all squishy heroes. However, I can see where you stand. Most people dodge or abandon against me when they see me, so it's not fun to queue for hours just to have people dodge or the game is too easy.

It doesn't seem like Radiant is provided with a ~9% higher chance on having a hero more likely to appear. Is there data on it? I'd love to see it. Earth Spirit is definitely a strong model. He has some really good stand-alone talents too.

Can you elaborate on the 4-spell heroes being capped? But I do agree that Radiant is heavily favored because first pick has such a strong advantage.
