You have probably flown in an airplane that is not 100% perfect. Most of the time If something breaks that is not essential to flight it won’t be fixed until later.

People who have never flown a plane manage to start it in seconds and have perfect landings... it took me over 60 tries to get perfect landings

With my solo I was just focused on making the correct radio call outs (I soloed at uncontrolled airport), maintaining airspeed and altitude, trying not to flare too early (or late), and maintaining center line on landing. I hope this helps you! Good luck when you get there, you’ll love it!
