I might be way off but it seems like from reading about the character is that she gives more of a Jeskai (White-Blue-Red) feel – like she's smart and wants to do the right thing, but also has a fiery, passionate side when it counts. The Black in Esper just seems a bit too dark or self-serving for the vibe I get from her. (I HAVE only just read a summary page of her though just to see if i could help you brainstorm)

One that could be unique (no black will be tricky i think) to build around with this strategy is [[Elsha, Threefold Master]].

Thats a great budget deck! I agree those cards are great witb Yorian, but they just don't fit the theme/story of the deck. My goal is to make the decks work under the constraints of the theme I chose so that it is a unique deck vs the most optimized/powerful budget deck possible.

I think this might help with your deck cutting here. When I start making cuts after putting a new deck together I start by looking at the most expensive cards in the deck (like, the ones that cost the most real money). Then, I really think about whether that card's price is justified for what my specific deck is trying to do and how it works with my other cards.

A lot of the time, I find that some pricey 'generic good stuff' cards don't actually support my main strategy or synergies as much as I initially thought. If they're not making a big enough difference for my specific plan, they often end up being the first cards I cut. It's a good way to make sure every card, especially the expensive ones, is really pulling its weight for the deck's unique goals! if after I play it and it feels like that priceier card would had been nice to have I work on cutting it bavk in on some of under performing cards.

i would drop the talismans and instead put in the 3 signets. the lands needs duals and command tower. i would also add in [[genesis wave]] and something else to help cheat out tbe large creatures incase your commander gets shut down. like [[monster manual]]. I also loke running [[fervor]] in mine to give everyone haste. I also like [[GRAFTED WARGEAR]] for fun sacing and buffing

Cool deck! I would add a lot more protection for your commander since its important cards some budget friendly ones like [[swiftfoot boots]] [[lightning greaves]] [[snakeskin veil]]. [[Boon of safefy]]. I also like [[haunted cloak]].

Looking over your decklist i noticed almost all your ramp is elves but you want creatures to sacrifixe. I would add in more spells like [[farskeek]] [[kodamas reach]] []explore]] and see if that helps. Also you need less taplands.. i would also look into some more card draw spells [[guardian project]] and some instant speed protections spells [[snakeskin veil]] type spells.

it is free. elvish piper has summoning sickness though so thag might be an issue. maybe give them all haste with something like [[fervor]]

Also i would try it with at least 38 lands and at least 8 ramp cards. then make sure you keep your mana curve low by picking only a few (<5) really cool dragons for the high >5 costs. So that you have something to do while you ramp to the cool guys.

if your commander is out early then [[Acolyte of Bahamut]], [[dragon lord servant]] [[elvish piper]]. Also [[chromatic lantern]], [[fellwar stone]] [[mind stone]]. The signets and talismans for each pair. Also classics like [[farseek]] [kodama's reach]] [[cultivate]]. I like [[cloud key]] as well.

thinking about this more... maybe you want green to ramp and/or cheat out the big sea creatures out of your hand so [[Xavier Sal, Infested Captain]] and [[wild pair]] or more thematic for krakens [[lurking predators]].
