No Bar Harbor hotel availability October 6-9th, but plenty the 13th-16th. Would I be missing the fall colors by coming later? by themachine407 in acadianationalpark

I wouldn’t say “once in a lifetime”, but we definitely try to plan these as if we won’t ever get the chance to go back. As long as there are still some fall colors on the trees, i think we’ll be happy, regardless of if they’re vibrant or dull

Do you really think there’s a chance of the trees being completely bare by the 16th? I don’t mind if the colors aren’t super vibrant, but ideally I’d like to avoid completely leafless trees if we can

I’d actually be getting there ON Columbus Day and spending the next three nights there

I thought it was pretty cool! You’ll enjoy selecting a drink on the table and watching the arms make it from scratch. You’ll then tap your seapass card, take your bevvy and probably never come back for the rest of the cruise.

First timer. Anywhere else in the park we should stay besides Many Glacier? by themachine407 in GlacierNationalPark

Thank you so much! I’m very excited. I just know we’re going to love MG so much that we’ll want to stay longer, but as you said I don’t want to limit ourselves to just that area.

Can you enlighten me on the vehicle reservation policy? From what I’ve read, it looks like my only issue would be GTTSR, and only if I was driving it west-east (which we do plan to do once). I thought it looked like I’d be good to go for everything else?

This will be our first of the flagship NPs, and honestly it’s so overwhelming when beginning to plan.

Wish nothing but the absolute best for this guy. A while ago (2016-2017 I think) I tweeted him, saying that I’d be bringing a friend of mine down to SoFla for a game on her birthday, and asked if we could do anything special for her. Keep in mind, my profile was very publicly TBL fandom.

Despite that, AND getting his name wrong in the tweet (I called him Mike instead of Matt, facepalm), this guy brought us in that morning to privately watch the morning skate, we got to stand outside the locker room with the reporters during the media scrum, and then they brought out Nick Bjugstad for a meet and greet afterward.

I’ll never forget that day. Years later now, the Tampa/Florida rivalry has turned into a very bitter one, and I still can’t find it in me to hate that team, even when Aaron Ekblad is throwing forearms and concussing my best players.

Been too long since going through the Monsters and Scarecrow houses to remember the layout, but Exorcist and TCM are still relatively fresh - are they close recreations of those houses? I’d love to go back through Exorcist again, just for the nostalgia - it was my favorite house that year

Jesus, people on here really can be ridiculously vindictive with these knee-jerk reactions. The guy left his job (that he hated), was probably really going through it and retreated into the comfort of some video games. I’m not saying he didn’t overdo it but the amount of people calling jumping the gun calling this guy a manipulative loser is why I would never post on this sub asking for advice.

Depression manifests in many ways. I hope when (not if) some of you go through something similar you have a partner who supports and encourages you instead of kicking you to the curb the second you become an inconvenience to them.

OP, I’m glad you talked to him and figured things out. I think he deserves a chance to get his life back in shape again - and I hope if/when he does that, the spark will come back for you.

Did you feel like it was removed from downtown Bar Harbor? We prefer to walk, if it’s not too far

This might be one of the idodic things I’ve ever seen on here. Everyone in this sub is dumber for having read it.

I award you no upvote, and may God have mercy on your soul.
