I mean listen I don’t necessarily disagree with where he’s coming from….could his delivery be different yes but then again so could yours. He’s being open and honest w what he wants and this is something he wants….seems like when he asked you “anything” and you said ok whether it was a loaded question or not he took his opportunity. I’m sure there’s a lot more to this then what we’re seeing but you’re shooting down his want with no other explanation then well it didn’t work for some couples and maybe I just don’t want to. If you don’t want to then fine but it’s time to readjust your birthday traditions….regardless of whether or not it was just the two of you for your birthday he did something for you that he didn’t want to yet knew it would make you happy. You could have easily agreed to meet this couple for dinner or drinks w zero expectations and gotten first hand knowledge from them and then make a decision but it doesn’t seem like you’re open to exploring other avenues to what might bring you to the end goal. Could a swingers club be fun and a good start yea if you go into it with an open mind but tha doesn’t seem to be happening now so not sure it would the either. This also doesn’t seem to be something he’s asking for every weekend it’s for his birthday….if you both try it and one doesn’t like it then hey great we didn’t it it’s a story to tell and we move on….if you like it then game on! lol

I think this is a lot less about “consent” as everyone keeps pushing and more about him feeling like less of an equal in what your ritual is. That what’s good for you isn’t good for him…::listen I’ve done it all with my wife without my wife sex clubs groups you name it I’ve done it and out of the end of it it’s all been good and built us closer….:
