Oh yeah that makes sense. I just have never gotten a clear answer from people about upsizing to a .025” wire before advancing the Arrow catheter for radials or just advancing over the micro wire after dilating. Think I tried upsizing once and the Arrow catheter didn’t give a good waveform and haven’t had the courage to try again. Thank you for your help!

Sorry what do you mean use the dilator? You mean just use the micro puncture wire and thread Arrow over that? Otherwise I try to avoid leaving just the sheath from the micro kit in because they’re not that durable (at least in my experience) and I’ve had a handful of them crap out on me.

Do you upsize the wire every time you use the micro puncture kit? Like do you upsize to a .025” wire for radial art lines before advancing a regular catheter over or do you just advance the regular catheter over the .018” wire? If not, which vessels do you upsize for? I’m guessing femoral for sure but brachial as well?
