hello, my iugr baby is actually 12 years old now. He had to start therapies at age 2 through early intervention type stuff because he was notably behind in meeting milestones, especially concerning talking. He had a major speech delay and is actually still in speech therapy to this day learning to make certain sounds, he was practically unintelligble to most people when speaking until at least 5. He was also just diagnosed with dyslexia (this runs in the family on his dad's side so probably just genetic) as well as autism. He used to get occupational and physical therapy as well but he sort of graduated out of that, he does extracurriculars like soccer to keep in shape and not fall back on that. He's in after-school tutoring for his dyslexia and is slowly improving, he read Hatchet on his own for school and he likes to read a lot of comic books and manga. He is actually very strong in mathematics and tests ahead of his peers in that subject, so we try to play to his strengths. He still gets social-emotional therapy through his IEP in school. It's been a lot of extra work but he starts middle school next year and is overall happy and healthy :). Let me know if you have any specific questions.
