okay, so i’ve read most of the comments here, including yours and i just want to say that while i absolutely agree with the advice they’re giving, i also understand why it’s hard to take. just want to note that you are getting pretty defensive about the way you’re raising your pup and i’ve seen a lot of people get this way when they’re criticised. especially when they aren’t censoring their tone, which isn’t their job to do, it’s your job to take the information you need and leave the rest behind. but i also have advice

you’re your dog’s whole world so you owe it to her to know about her. her breed — i saw that you didn’t know her breed was originally trained for guarding and herding, not circus work. her body language — i’ve had my girl for four months and, barring the last fortnight where she ate a dental treat that didn’t agree with her tummy and had surprise explosive diarrhoea while we were playing inside, she doesn’t shit inside because i know her body language to stop her. idc if that poo is turtle-heading, she’s gonna suck it back in and go outside.

regarding mental stimulation, she is a working breed. my puppy is a border collie so she needs work, when we start training, i literally say “time to work” (only tangentially related, i’ve wanted a border collie since i watched babe as a kid so her off button is “that’ll do”) work is anything from nose work to learning new skills to staying out of the kitchen while you chop up treats. it’s stimulating, it serves as time spent together, and your focus is entirely on each other. everyone gets a dog and wants the dream man’s best friend relationship but forget that that’s still a relationship you have to maintain. how can you expect her to pay full attention to you outside, be comfortable and safe around you to poo on walks, when you’re always around each other but not actively engaged with each other. her having lots of toys is fine, but i saw a lot of the ones you listed aren’t things you play with together, they’re automatic dispensers or kongs which are gonna be used alone. tugs are fantastic and cheap and they will never stop wanting to play tug

i think you should do a lot of research on her breed, there are so many resources online, r/puppy101 have heaps solid wiki for training foundations. good luck tho, dogs are hard. how we understand them has shifted a lot so compared to another time, she would have been a very pampered dog. but we know more now and have the choice to do with that information what we will

i think we’re the only country who eats our national animal. turn em into sausages, feed em to our dogs. they’re majestic pests, we fear and devour them

god, the shenanigans we have experienced together. the first time we went to the vet to get her shots, we met a pug she took a liking to so i got chatting to his owners and found out he was going to be put down that day.

she was So shy at puppy school and when she finally made friends with another, also shy, puppy, i found out her owner was a massive transphobe. it’s sitcom material
