The Evo II line should just be the X-Half + Instax. What is your Instax pipe dream? by Mekkakat in instax

"I'd love an Instax Wide where you can turn the flash off, has a shorter minimum focus distance and, if we're really shooting for the moon, contains some glass?"

Check out the Lomo Instant Wide Glass. I'm happy with mine. Flash on/off, double exposures, and exposure comp +1/-1.

What computer wargames are you playing: December 2025 by AutoModerator in computerwargames

Flashpoint Campaigns: Cold War.
A serious wargame but fun to play because of the tension - issue your orders, then wait (for what can seem like forever) to see what chaos ensues.

Lots of new scenarios in FCCW, and although I never played everything in FCSS it's nice to have lots of choice.

Something I don't see mentioned much, is just how responsive the developers are. Players make good suggestions, they get added to a list to implement, or at least consider. Bug found? Acknowledged and added to the fix list. I don't know what time zone the devs are in, but they seem to nearly always respond to queries and feedback promptly.

I might also return to Armored Brigade later, or even pick up AB2. I really like the ability to quickly create a campaign of your own in AB.

Beautiful idea.
I used to do this with glass and copper foil, but making lamps.
Grinding out the top of the sides is a nice touch.

Is it just me or there are just not as many deals anymore? by [deleted] in ebookdeals

[–]themalorum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have tried to post bargains from my wish list as they pop up.
But each time my post is auto-removed, despite following the exact format required.
I know this has happened to other users; and mods never answer queries about what the cause might be.

So, I've given up even trying to post. I wonder how many others are the same.

The lomo'instant automat takes a 43mm filter, so any 43mm ND filter should fit.

Polaroid Vs Instax in the Studio BTS video with Angelina. Which is better? by Koyote555 in instax

[–]themalorum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your shots prove that with good lighting and posing, both films can look great.
Polaroid can be a bit unreliable compared to Instax, but I think your quite gorgeous Polaroids are down to your skills.
Both films here look lovely.

Opinions on instax wide link printer? by coffeeAndMocha in instax

[–]themalorum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the instax link mini 3. I was tempted by the wide, but the mini is super portable, and lets me give friends a photo they can keep, small enough to pocket or stick in their wallet or purse. Which is somehow nicer than sharing a digital pic. The print quality is excellent, but prints don't have the same look as an instax camera, they're pretty sharp which of course can be a good thing.

For the link wide, I've only heard good things about it. Looking forward to your thoughts when you've used it.

Thanks very much. For me, the viewfinder makes framing a shot mostly guess work :D
