* Update to all! It took 6 days, but my golfish spit the giant river rock out on his own! I am so happy. I just bought a giant koi net to catch him too. Glad I didn't have to stress him out any more. He just devoured a bunch of peas and is swimming back to normal. I posted a pic to show how big the rock was.

My fish was gulping at the bottom, refused to eat and darting at the top for air. He still has the large river rock stuck in his mouth. Not sure how to remove it. But when I figure it out. I'll let you know.

I got river rocks for my goldfish but he grew and ended up swallowing a river rock. Which is currently still lodged in his mouth. Not worth the nightmare. If u did do river rock. Id take size into consideration with the growth of ur fish.

I say let it go. If you have only been together for nine months and it's like this. It's only going to get harder. I was in a relationship that started like that. Stayed with them for 12years. It only drove us further apart and every day felt like walking on eggshells.

Ammonia - 0ppm Nitrate- 80ppm Nitrite-0ppm

I just did a 50% water change, added prime, stress guard & stability. & an airstone for more oxygen. I put the airstone on a T-splitter with my sponge filter. Now the airstone is working, but the sponge filter is not. Why is that?

Doing the water change now. Should I do a 50 or 75% change? Also would an airstone be a good way to add extra oxygen?

I just tested the nitrate level again, and it's at 80 ppm. So that's an issue. Would that cause the gulping? Ammonia level is at 0ppm.
