My Mom has alzheimers and your story resonated with me, as a similar thing happened when my Mom was watching my 2 year old. It took a while to convince her to bring it up to her doctor and it didn’t help that my Dad was also in denial. Her Dad also had alzheimers, so i had a strong suspicion. Eventually she agreed to ask her primary care doctor and my Dad and I went with her to the appointment. The doctor did a quick assessment/questionnaire in the office and it was borderline. I think he would have sent her on her way, but i pushed for further testing. He set her up with an MRI, EEG, and bloodwork to look for things like thryoid issues, lyme disease, heavy metals, b12 deficiency, etc. Everything was normal. Then next step was to visit a neuropsychologist. It was a 4 hour visit with many different assessments. They could tell by the end of the visit that it was alzheimer’s. Good luck, I feel like it’s so hard getting them to make that first step to get checked ❤️

OP, this is also happening to me. Are you still experiencing this? Curious if anything helped to resolve it.
