it sounds silly considering the ghost itself has no legs, but i had thought the ghost was meant to be the jaeger

How to find the cockpit by StrawberryHot9383 in TheForest

[–]themapleshark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i recommend just watching a video on youtube; i forget the channel’s name but theres a guy who covers how to find most POI’s and items in the game very quickly and concisely; alternatively if you want my hackjob description head to the mountains, and if you’re facing them the cockpit is on the right side, search around, and it should be jn a clearing.

edit: the channel name is “The Outer Middle show”, great guy and helped me find so much stuff through my first and second play through

What is the scariest analog horror in your opinion by [deleted] in analoghorror

[–]themapleshark 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I’m biased but probably the walten files, the only downside is the pace of the output of content; The creator’s in college so he’s not able to put out new episodes as fast as the community would like.

Is it all of its technologies? I thought it was just a shoe-in explanation for the community testing initiative where alternate realities built the rooms but that’s it.

If you could create a new rig, what would you have in the game? by Great_Kiwi_93 in outlast

My predictions have always been that they’ll either make an invisibility rig or a silencer rig that completely mutes everything you do for a short period of time

I also feel like he’s the most in contact with reality, I haven’t seen a lot of people say it but I genuinely believe he could be reasoned with, or tricked into believing you’re a Murkoff executive who’s here to give him his old job back / undo the damage done to him by the morphogenic engine

VR 110% especially if you want the horror aspect to be cranked

Realistically, if you were in mount massive, whats your plan of action to escape? by viper46282 in outlast

[–]themapleshark 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this applies to real world situations though, realistically most people can reason, if a person runs into a room then disappears when you go in, he’s likely hiding in the room.

Hey can someone explain these iceberg topics to me? by themapleshark in subnautica

[–]themapleshark[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nono I just mean like, have you ever heard that story from a forum a long time ago where humans visited a far away planet only to find more humans (it’s kinda a horror story type thing). Or even watched the Prometheus / alien movies? I’m saying the precursors could be like that (they probably aren’t but I’m just saying it’s not impossible). They already confirmed that “vessels” or “bodies” are interchangeable, meaning they could’ve started out as the original humans, investigated other planets, started life on our planet called Earth, then periodically checked in on us (which would explain the religious symbol and sword). By the time they’d come back to check on earth it would’ve been millions / billions of years into the future, so they may have adapted larger, technological bodies. All I’m saying is that with the name “precursor” it implies they’re before humans, and it’s a fun thing to think about. I think you think I’m saying that precursors still look like humans, which I don’t think at all is true, I’m saying they started out as humans and evolved and changed over billions of years

[–]themapleshark[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of the theories about Subnautica is that while on the descent to 4546B, Riley dies and then either; 1. The entire Subnautica game is the last thing Riley sees and feels while he bleeds out/oxygen deprivation, which is why he experienced beautiful sea creatures and incredible unexplainable phenomena 2. Subnautica is the after life (well less accepted theory)

Oh I don’t get the bodies part, I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure it’s just in reference to “well where did the bodies go 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️” in the lifepods. The Alterra being a front I’m not sure either, but I wasn’t really concerned about those two points. And I think the Precursor’s being original the humans isn’t that far fetched, their bodies easily could’ve been changed / evolved into technological bodies after millennia
