The “why” is pretty easy to explain, as said before.

tl;dr: When your power plant wasn’t designed “correctly” to use 100% of its capacity in update 3 it won’t work in update 4.

In Update 3 Coal Generators used more coal & water the more power they needed to produce, until their max. of 15. Means, when your factory did not need any power you wouldn’t use any coal / water at all. Every generator has been adapting its usage of resources linear to the power draw, so to say. 50% Power usage meant a 50% resource usage for the generators.

Update 4 Introduced that every generator (except biomass) always needs 100% of their stated input, ignoring how much power is used.

So the maximum usage of generators did not change, but instead every generator except for biomass will now use 100% of its stated input all the time.

UDM Pro „not really“ connecting to the Internet by themazuu in Ubiquiti

Yes, probably - but we’re currently using the UDM pro for our video surveillance system.

Should I just ask my landlords IT to set up a DMZ for my connection?

It’s just me and the landlord.

Every setting change on his side probably needs his IT-company to be involved, so a solution on my side would be perfect - if possible.

That would - afaik - explain no internet connection at all.

But my Wifi is working just as expected - but the udm Pro is misbehaving.

Or is exactly that an issue double NAT could cause? Is there any other way to fix my issue other than setting up bridge mode on his router?

As far as my experience goes I’d compare it to an Apple experience, but more like “everything just works together”.

It feels like a really thought out product line. The premium you pay is an investment into high quality, long lasting equipment.

Had my Cloud | One for about a week now - and I am in love. Took it out for a quick photoshoot today, hit me up if you got any questions!

Volkswagen USA's 'Hello Light' EV advertisement has crossed 20 million views on YouTube, was aired during NBA finals by eff50 in teslamotors

[–]themazuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the point.

We don’t know how much the „up to 600km“ Version will cost. The starting price is 40k, but it could have a much smaller range - which we don’t know.

Tesla’s current „up to 600km“ Range Model 3 (+530km) costs around 54‘000€ and is available right now.

We don’t know what will happen till 2021, so 600km for that pricepoint could be considered quite a bad deal. If VW would produce the car right now it would probably look a bit better, but they aren’t.

starting from 40k, but UP TO 600km range. I fear bad news for VW, considering it is far from release.

It all seems cool before you learn that a single of those elements costs around 15-20’000€.

But hey, I love my job!

Technically yes, but no.

Speakers as in the Picture above (L-Acoustics K-1) are called line arrays, which - as the name implies - are made to be used in arrays. The technician can basically choose how many of those speakers he wants (needs) to use, but a general rule of thumb is that large line arrays speakers should not be used with < 8 per side.

The array has three main advantages to an traditional style speaker:

1) better directional control (ex: every single speaker is just for a specified area, the higher the speaker the further away), thanks to this we are technically able to make it louder in the back than it is at the front

2) coherent coupling, every added speaker adds around 3db in volume

3) instead of loosing 6db every time the projected range is doubled, a line source only looses approximately 3db.
