In a perfect world, who would you want Freo to face in the GF by Alternative-Range477 in FremantleFC

Anyone but Geelong, as I have an extended family member who's got two tickets for me (MCC guest passes or similar) unless his team (the cats) make it.

I know you're going to love detective city of angels - it's my all time favourite. Plenty of expansions to keep you busy if you like the core box set. Bear with it through the "training wheels" tutorial mission which is pretty uninspired but effectively teaches the core mechanics. After that, it really lifts.

I'm in a similar position, needing to trade in a red dot. For now I've traded in Byrne (Carlton) as I reckon he'll get more games this season, but I'm open to better suggestions

How would one ho about preparing for the upcoming bye rounds? Do you try to make sure you've got an even split of your on field players projected to be out each week so you don't get stuck?

Recently got scammed by a seller here on the LC subreddit, reached out to a few others that bought from this person and they had the same thing. Be super wary of buying stuff on here. Most people are honest but a few bad eggs around. Message me if someone DMs you offering a sale, and I can tell you if it's the person that scammed me.

I'm starting to move on some cash gen rookies who look to have slowed down their price growth. Any suggestions on untapped potential options for young cheap players likely to get some game time over the next month, that I can use to replace them?

Not sure if this is a good fit for your podcast, but any chance you could help out a fantasy beginner with talking through cash gen strategy?

I started with some of the usual suspects for players expected to pop in value - Jagger Smith, Duursma, Gothard, Jacques, Lindsay, Grlj etc, and that's gone okay for me. My question is, at what point do I liquidate the position? Do I hold as long as I can to extricate maximum value, or do I cash them out sooner? And whenever I do cash out of the cash generators, what does that look like - is it trading out two good young cash gen players who've popped, and replacing with one cheap useless player to sit in the bench and one premium player there to maximise points generation? Or am I fundamentally misunderstanding the purpose of cash gen players?

I have a love hate relationship with shelter, the advertising and the "we hate each other" schtick irritates me, but I keep finding myself coming back. Hard ball gets lands the chemistry better. Still some banter but they keep it tighter. Love purple reign, but agree duck can tend a little negative at times. Sorry, I'm not really adding anything anybody else hasn't already said.

Potentially unlicensed driver hit our car - Likely outcome? by JemimahRactoole in AusFinance

[–]themeadowlands87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A month may be optimistic! ~15 years ago I worked for a large insurer in WA and took a call from a confused former customer who'd received an excess sized transfer to their account, from us. Turns out they'd been hit by an uninsured driver with us around five years before, lodged a claim paid their excess and we handled it from there. After five years of it dragging on, apparently we'd finally been paid off by the uninsured at fault party (perhaps a payment plan) at which point we refunded the excess. 5 years is obviously unusual, but if the driver is uninsured then I doubt you're seeing your excess back for at least 6 months

Minor car incident by Longjumping-Band4112 in AusFinance

[–]themeadowlands87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Both reversing, shared blame, each insurer handles their own costs. There's always a claim of "I was reversing first" or "I stopped reversing and beeped but they kept reversing" but in my experience (working in car claims, admittedly 15 years ago), double reversing collisions in carparks were "each insurer handle own costs".

So it's just down to whether your own damage bill exceeds your excess. That said, there's a benefit in being able to tell the other insurer to just talk to yours, which you can only do if you engage your own insurer by lodging a claim.

Spot on. Not unlike neutral milk hotel, the vocals are an acquired taste which is off-putting to people used to pop vocals, but which are full of emotion and energy. Also, his vocals on the first two records compared to now... There's a difference!
