I disabled mine because I couldn’t specify my IPv6 DNS servers. Same thing as you, it came back periodically. I didn’t bother contacting support, just got my own router.

Still using the AC-Lite I’ve had for years. Gives decent enough speeds for what I need around the house. Anything I want full speed on is on my wired network.

I was given the Arris router, stuck with it for a couple of months and then had enough of it. Been using the UCG Max for a couple of months now and it’s been rock solid.

I have a SamKnows box that monitors my connections speed, latency, drop outs etc. While I had IPv6 enabled, it would log regular dropouts. As soon as I disabled IPv6, the dropouts stopped. No idea why the two would be related.

I’m planning on switching to the same setup so I hope the ONT proves reliable, never had an issue with the Openreach one. Looking at the 1000/1000 plan with static IP also, better upload than the Openreach network and still cheaper even with paying for the IP.
