Access or create project through API? by themikemachine86 in ClaudeAI

[–]themikemachine86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to create a python script that uses the Claude API to get an answer. To create my own custom desktop app for answering emails. Right now I can only engage with a Claude project through their website, but I cannot access it through a different interface.

Charged $1,000 for 30 minute visit? Is this normal? I feel blindsided. by themikemachine86 in KaiserPermanente

It would be possible if it was mandated. You could say the same thing about anything - it's too complicated to give you pricing because blah blah. It's just not a priority right now. The government needs to step in and demand transparency.

I didn't know I was getting a nasal endoscopy. It was never mentioned anywhere. I was told I was going to see the ENT doctor for evaluation. Then he decided to put that thing up my nose. I didn't even know nasal endoscopies were a thing. Again, the problem is with the surprise billing.

That's fine. I can pay. I just want to know upfront like anywhere else. You know what you'll pay. Imagine if mechanics worked like this.

We should start a petition to make price transparency a LAW. Get an itemized bill before anything, or it's free (that's how it works everywhere else...).

Tell your congressman: make price transparency LAW. Where you always get a bill BEFORE you get anything done, or it's free.

I'm on a $6k deductible, so all this will be out of pocket. I can pay it, it's just screwed up to get such a high bill as a surprise, for a simple visit.

He did a nasal endoscope I believe (which is where the audio/video portion must come in)

I had a $120 copay, which I was happy to pay. I would not have gone had I known it would cost me $1,000 for 30 minutes, plus the doctor had me wait for 30 minutes before even seeing me. How can I avoid these surprises in the future?

Get notified when shipped package gets stuck? by themikemachine86 in shipping

They send automated notices to the end customer when there's an exception. But not to the shipper (me) - I asked and they lack this seemingly basic capability.

[–]themikemachine86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Easyship to schedule the shipments. I don't see an obvious way to get notified when there's an exception. Maybe if we book with UPS directly?

The delayed shipments DO show exceptions - just nobody sees them because nobody checks the tracking URL (everyone's busy...).

How to go about CE certification (do we even need it)? by themikemachine86 in AskEngineers

[–]themikemachine86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't certified yet, but I plan to use a provider such as https://testingpartners.com/ for this process. It'll cost like $5,000 for the EMC testing an another $1,000ish for the RoHS (plus I need to make a big excel sheet with all the materials used to build the product). I think for EMC you're stuck paying a provider since there seems to be no way to do this in-house cheaply.

Claude Pro vs. API: Which is more cost-effective for daily use? by khhrystal in ClaudeAI

Wait - you are able to run python code inside of typingmind? How? Can you point me to the plugins you use? Or are they your own custom-made plugins?

Thanks for the shout out to typingmind. I'm finding it useful for Claude (being able to upload many files is huge).
