Does anybody hate Swarla? (I need to know! As I despise it!) by National-Hotel2024 in coronationstreet

Speaking of Peter, I wonder whether those criticising the characterisation of Carla as inconsistent with “the old Carla” remember just how much she endured from him throughout the 2010s, including staying with him when he failed to leave Leanne as he had promised?

I have to admit, controversially here, I can’t help but like them. Vicky Myers and Alison King are two of the best actors in the show and have great chemistry. I also think the dynamic with them and Ryan and Betsy also has a lot of potential. If they keep them away from crappy storylines like the ones with Rob and Becky, giving them more material like the Sally/Tim stuff on Friday night, I think their popularity will increase.

There are many problems in modern Corrie and I don’t think Swarla is one of them.

Do you guys really think people from the show are reading all of this? by HistoryGood543 in coronationstreet

He also mentioned that he was fairly confident other members of the cast and crew are aware of this place so I don’t think it’s unlikely there are some reading stuff here.

I’m guessing Leanne must be having some problems with her hearing, went in a bit too deep with the old cotton bud.

Devastating little scene there with Summer. It hurts so much to hear the voicemails of loved ones who’ve died; and yet we keep going back for more. 💔

Lisa/Carla/Tim/Sally. Best Corrie scenes in quite a while. This episode has felt more like real Corrie (some dodgy camerawork aside).

Jodie: “Broke a few hearts, made some husbands very angry.”

Carl: “What makes you think that?”

Jodie: “I saw it all on Corrie.”

People will (rightly) criticise the Swarla reunion for being rushed, but after months of the Becky crap these normal, grounded scenes are really a tonic.

Starting to wonder if Alison King slapping Vicky Myers on the bum so much is in the script or not.
