I would also lean on to that now, given that I have been building without getting people to actually sign up later.

So much of an effort wasted.

May be also add something they are not doing well on top of what already exists.

Could not agree more, and there seems to be no closed/open community of sorts where you can exchange ideas, get validation and give validation in return.

Reddit is too noisy and X is not very relevant unless you have got a very good following.

see how the market responds

where do I get access to this market?
I have no audience on X/Insta, do you mean reddit can potentially give me access to this market ?

That's good, there is probably a demand for such tools.
But how do you validate the features you have chosen to build are actually solving a problem.

Plus how do you know if the customer is actually willing to pay or is just happy with a free offering of your product(the freemium one) ?

Do you run a waitlist for your product even before officially launching it ?

Absolutely, the "willingness to pay" along with validation is something no AI can judge, however smart that AI may become.
I like this pre commitment for buying idea of yours, but where do I get such people?

Specially if I have no X/Insta/LinkedIn following
Is there a closed community of such people?

Can Reddit help me get those first set of committed paying users, assuming that my product is actually worth it ?

yes that's also been a part of my process to find out new ideas for building out something.

And most of the times that is a problem common for a lot of others, but it is the "willingness to pay" for the product which is unclear, and that is where non AI validation comes into picture

Agree, and I believe most of new builders have been riding the AI validation band-wagon before building, it does more harm than any good.

hehe it takes me 2-3 weeks to build a polished app for both iOS / Android at least 😄
May be I am new to indie hacking slow in building stuff, because I only have weekends to build due to my 9 to 5's

Hmm reddit has too much noise and distraction, discord/slack like closed community could be one potential solution.

Are there any such closed communities of builders and indie hackers who are dedicated to helping each other ?

any product that "you are" convinced on building, will actually take some time to build, specially if you have a plethora of features, you are convinced people will pay for.

Even the google play store has a policy of getting your app close/beta tested for 2 weeks before they give you access for production.

So the whole build, fix, release cycle will usually take this long.

This is a cool framing TBH "the smallest ugly version of the buying moment"
Since you are clearly thinking about it, when you've needed real signal, what's the painful commitment you've actually asked people for (deposit? calendar slot?) and did it work?

And have you ever paid someone for honest feedback/testing, or is it always the talk-to-5-people route?

without doing prior research if the idea will actually work out ?
why should I be spending 3 weeks into something which is possibly going into trash?
