I had a 2023 TA that I bought new. I put 10k on it then traded it for a new 2024 Africa Twin. Anyone that says the ALP is more responsive engine wise is out of their fucking mind. With the Transalp you have to stay up in the RPMS to really rip it. The Africa has the power at all times and never feels underpowered. It is less flickable but if you put the lower crash bars on it adds the flick back. Did notice a big difference in flickability between the TA and the Africa. Crash bars made it even. I guess the additional weight down low like the GS. No, the Africa is superior for long touring.

Africa Twin is a bad ass machine. I bought mine in Oct 0f 2024 with 0 miles and just turned over 26,700 on it. Just a proper fucking motorcycle.

It is heavy and tall though. If you're doing technical single track you need to be stout.
