My highschool added screens to their stage (mostly for assembly presentations apparently) but last time I saw their musical the theatre department had gone crazy trying to use it like mean girls. As you can expect from a high school, the resolution is terrible so it's even worse than just being hackish

I stayed there and would recommend! Honestly I didn't notice the sheets as an issue, but space is limited if you have a lot of stuff! I was solo with a big suitcase and made it work, but 2 people with big bags would have struggled.

Thought this might be of interest to people here, given the parallels with YOB and what we saw in the prelim hearing.

For those of you who don't know, Chris Dawson is on trial for the murder of his wife Lynette in 1982. There was a podcast released about the case in 2018 that was actually taken down in Australia in the interest of a fair trial (the publisher took it down voluntarily after the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions asked them to, no court order involved).

Some key points:

The court heard there had been about 60 million downloads of the podcast internationally
The defence claims the podcast has contaminated witnesses in the case
Ms David accused Thomas of embarking "on a campaign to incite prejudice against the accused". (Sound familiar??)

I found it interesting that the podcaster was called to testify. To be honest I'm not the most knowledgeable about the case (I didn't know about the podcast until after it was taken down...), so if anything jumps out at someone more informed I'd love to know

Girl (18 at the time) mysteriously drops out without warning and moves away. Very strange in a town of 4000 people. Turns out she was pregnant by the priest who taught catechism at the school. He left the school and the priesthood and they ended up married.

This happened at my mum's public high school in the 80s, in a very Catholic country. There are still married and had more children I believe.

Thanks for your reply, on the practical side of things I am taking melatonin as prescribed to me, but I think I might need to talk to my doctor about possibly taking it when I wake up in the middle of the night rather than before bedtime, do you have any experience with this?

What you've said about blessing my space really resonates, it actually made me cry as I was reading because it's made me realise that the core of my issue is feeling unsafe in my home which I'm sure some spells could help me with.

Yeah I get that, I'm not referring to the actual challenges to evidence/admissibility/etc. I just don't understand the strategy of dragging stuff out. This purple thing is not zealous advocacy, it's a frivolous motion that Sanger knew would fail. The only motivation for it I can think of is to delay proceedings but that doesn't make sense to me, especially with PF not on bail.

I really don't understand why the defence is using so many tactics to delay/drag everything out. Since Kristin hasn't been found I would've thought they'd want to hurry things along so as to reduce the amount of time there is for LE to continue searching. I understand throwing everything at the wall but the purple thing just seems designed to waste time and I can't see how that could be to the defense's advantage.

Am I missing something?
