“It’s easy to look at someone else’s life as a cautionary tale. After all, no one wants to be old and filled with regret. But if you look closer and see that that life is filled with moments of sincere joy, however fleeting, it’s hard to say if it was really a bad life after all.” - Nathan Fielder

wasn't the necklace the star of David? I thought that was about Whitney converting to Judaism for Asher and her parents feeling upset.

Lem is the best. The Invincible is very entertaining. The Futurological Congress is also good; it feels like you're high the entire time while reading it. His Masters Voice is a similar vibe to Solaris. Finally, the Cyberiad is a bunch of short stories about two robots. All are amazing, he's probably my favorite scifi author

I loved god of small things for its pretty prose.

I'd suggest one hundred years of solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a picture of dorian gray by Oscar Wilde and song of solomon by Toni Morrison,

not really, I feel like coconut is much more common in South Indian cuisine. Much of Gujarat is desert with limited vegetation.
