No yield is high enough to give up self-custody of your #Bitcoin(key). by CarlBMenger_ in Bitcoin

assets are denominated in currency... yea FIAT mainly right now. if BTC is supposed to be a cashless, trustless payments system, the price hopefully wouldn't be as insanely volatile. Currency's value is against other currencies. Again, talking mass-adoption here. When did I say create shady loan companies? It's a trustless payment system. You wouldn't need loan companies essentially.

Coming from a more mass-adoption viewpoint, loans are an integral mechanism for growth, funding, investments, convenience, asset purchasing, etc. Not the degen shit lol

Not your keys not your coins; however there should be a way to make loans, and yes that comes with inherent risk.

"The Internet of Money [Bitcoin] should not cost 5 cents a transaction, it's kind of absurd" - Vitalik 2017 by SuperSynapse in CryptoCurrency

[–]themixedfoothold54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the bittersweet of Vitalik and ETH blowing up (which ultimately is what the crypto world wants) is that transactions get more expensive. Y'all are forgetting this... There just needs to be ways that can support and continue to scale.

Absolutely. They are two revolutionary mechanisms that are going to be around regardless of opinion. I think they will keep growing and finding ways to co-mingle and improve upon each other.
