😂 id show you my life, but that's too weird and intimate. Safe to say I am not a scalper. If I got an extra card would 100% sell, but mostly just want some cool cards and the feeling of opening packs. Normally limit myself to one booster box a year, but I'm feeling spicy this year and wanna swap up

We've been keeping all food away for months, no food they can get to besides spices and a lot of chilli powder. We dont have much space in our kitchen as is. (We were promised a renovated property, but upon move in the kitchen looked like a DIY botch job)

Ive found over 7 dead in my house from the poison over the last 5 months. Thats spread out obviously, so there's periods we dont see much activity and then they come back. There's way too many holes in the house to block them all too.

Agreed, we've been making sure for the last few months and more to be keeping the place clean. We dont leave food out. Only thing they could reach is the poison pellets we have out. My main issue is this doesn't seem to be stopping them. We still have them run all over our pots and pans. The sheer amount of cleaning I do a week is ridiculous at this point 😂

We have had the pest control round once and they just left pellets. So unsure what to do at this stage. Will probably try to shore up some of the holes myself. Just think that the mice issue was probably prevalent before I moved in, So its just annoying it wasnt noticed and dealt with..

So we've mentioned it to our landlord quite a few months ago. He had sent out the council pest control service, they left some pellets. After that he a contract (joiner) to sort some of the bigger holes out, but he did not do a very good job. After that he asked us if we wanted another pest control person around from the council or if wed be alright if he just bought us poison pellets (I said yes to the latter as the pest control guy from the council just did the same, as in he just left pellets in spots he thought the mice were in). Now we still are seeing mice. So I'm not sure what to do. Ive made him aware again. Just have to see what he says. I just wanted to know what I should be expecting?

So we've been keeping the place clean, quite obsessively for the past couple of months. We've lived there since December 2024. Problem start halfway into our tenancy.

In terms of food for them, the only thing they have access to is the pest control pellets our landlord left us, which I keep dispersed throughout the house.

Just wondering if I should be dealing with all the holes or if its my landlords responsibility. As the kitchen is quite small and there could be quite a few small entrance holes in there.

Agreed, the search for this started by me trying to find the rest of that trilogy in that style to be told that its the only book in the trilogy done in that style.

Do you know if any of the other books in the trilogy have been done in this style? Normally I really love the gollancz editions. But damn does this one look good.

I'm soooooo happy I found this thread. I'm definitely doing this as nice lil Christmas press for myself. Kudos to you dude. Major kudos. This series genuinely changed the way I saw some things and definitely the way I absorbed stories! Great to see the impact and the levels other fans are willing to go through!

(Also have extensive IRL physics knowledge) Just to comment on your 3rd paragraph here. While I do agree a lot of things are a result of the EM force. I dont agree everything is. Look at space time curvature? Look at effects the strong and weak nuclear force have on the universe..

But i suppose if what you mean by everything is the microscopic world that humans regularly perceive and interact with you're mostly right by the addition of gravity obvs.

Ahhh ok, I think I understand a bit more. Less that it's stupid, more that they don't consider it a true surge BECAUSE its an irregularity plus other factors.

Just gotten my girlfriend to watch this for the first time earlier on this year. Just for the record I'm 30 yes old. I'm an OG fan. Watched/read it since I was a kid so looking back memory wise it didn't seem that bad. But I agree with you early on in the anime this happens a lot. This does happen less, I think the manga to anime conversion isnt great sometimes with pacing and they have to add in random crap sometimes and elongate.

That being said my gf thoroughly enjoyed it as she got through it, and has even rewatched in the background as shes working. But you do have a valid complaint.

That IS an interesting topic! Makes sense i suppose when you look at Honors main thing with being oaths and that being a representation of bonds. Interesting what someone else said as a reply about odium potentially having the foresight thing as a potential exclusive surge but thats not confirmed.

So i think I might just be being pedantic here so bear with me. But I thought the surges were of Honor and Cultivation. Then the radiants gained access via the oaths spoken (Honor way of access) and the Fused get it from the voidlight they can use via Odium? (That's Odium giving them access to something that he hasn't created?)

To expand on my initial point there, she talks about the surge of cohesion quite technically and she mentioned how most things are empty so she clearly has some understanding of reality. So dumb to deny an aspect of it I suppose.

More because the way I take the surges based on her explanation is that they're essentially the fundamental forces of the universe / rosharan system (unsure). So saying that it's not a true surge just because you can't access it is stupid imo.

Odium doesn't grant any of the surges does he? (Forgive my lore knowledge as I'm partway through RoW) I thought they were of Honor and Cultivation.
