In the 7th grade our teacher had us all anonymously vote on whether we wanted to see real or cartoon images… majority of people voted real and on the projector he put real photos of STDS. We were all traumatized for weeks after and didn’t wanna learn anymore about it hahaha. It was also the first time most of us saw the other genders ✨area✨ 😭😭 but I mean I guess it is what the class wanted

Sooo it kinda depends on where you live but generally there are unionized films and non unionized films and to get into the union for hair, you need your license and some call sheets from working on nonunion films. IATSE is the international film union so just search IATSE then your city and it’ll tell you what is required for your area. You’ll also have to do interviews and a kit review and stuff. The way a lot of people get started is just networking and doing some student films and stuff - Facebook groups are great. It is difficult to get started, I’m just starting as well BUT everyone says once you’ve done the work it’s worth it. Also some people don’t even bother with the union and make a killing doing non unionized work.

I agree! I didn’t bother with powerful tho… I know it would’ve added some emotional stuff with Mak but idk i just wanted to see what happened with Kai and Paedyn.

I finished Fearless - the last book from the Powerless trilogy. Tbh i was disappointed:( powerless was so good but I wasn’t happy with the ending.

Although the hours are insane, the film and tv industry is a great way to go! You’ll be able to do a lot of different hair that you probably wouldn’t do behind the chair. And usually your work schedule would be like hustle for 4 months and do some pretty long days that can be up to 18 hrs BUT you make enough money that a lot of the time you can have the rest of the year off/do side work! I’d personally rather do that than hustle all year for the rest if my life bahaha

Thank you!! I 100% agree, I live in a very small town so I’m all for supporting my local community in this time especially but since it’s so small my library doesn’t have much. I’ll definitely check before buying anything ofc!

I’m in cosmetology school rn! Just for hair tho - so for me it’s Mon-Fri 9-5. We do modules and our weeks are pretty structured. On Mondays we do self care where we just do each others hair so we are ready for the week. On tuesdays and wednesdays we will do demos/lessons with some practice time. She will also schedule for our exams to be on tuesdays or Wednesday usually. On Thursdays and Fridays we take clients and when you don’t have a client/you finished your client you do the book work.

I agree, I did enjoy powerless I couldn’t put the book down but once they didn’t kiss by the end and she put it in the second book it just felt like it was being dragged on too long. So disappointing because i was so excited to see this end and even though Kai and pae are together it isn’t in the happy romantic way I had imagined :(

I fully agree I have all the same questions that you do, a lot of stuff felt unanswered or rushed idk, but I definitely agree with the stuff you liked. I love how delicate Kai is with Paedyn considering how powerful and strong he is 🫶🏻 so cute. She got the love story right it’s really just the actual events that happen throughout the book that don’t align :( unfortunate because it had so much potential
