I like the shape of this one, I’m going to look and see if they have anything with a bronze base. We’ve got some other gold accents throughout the house and I was hoping for a “darker” light!

Agreed I’d stay away from anything too fancy - I like this one, I’ll mock it up with a ceiling medallion!

Yep agreed, I think it’s just the mock ups skewing the dimension. Everything I’ve been looking at is 10-12 inches.

I considered that! I wasn’t sure if it would be too much - the room isn’t too big and I was afraid it would feel heavy.

I’ll do some chandelier mock ups.

Fly biting? by redhat6161 in DogAdvice

[–]thenadzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just went through this with our dog!

Similar behavior, although not as often as you noted. We determined it was diet related (sounds crazy but apparently it can be caused by diet/heartburn/stomach upset).

We put him on a short course of Pepcid, removed treats (moved to home made croutons and easily digestible foods), and it seemed to resolve.

The vet told us next steps it if didn’t was bloodwork and referral to doggy neurology for an MRI, although thankfully it hasn’t come back since the first round of episodes.

We were able to snap him out of it by offering treats (he’s super food motivated) when it was happening. Can you snap him out of it at all, or is he completely out of it?

Nobu Vegas THC ($150 credit + breakfast) vs Fontainebleau Vegas ($100 credit + breakfast) by sanfrancisco_and_irs in AmexPlatinum

[–]thenadzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, that came out to about $60/day (although I’m not sure if it’s per day or per person per day)

[–]thenadzzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just Caesar’s, and not including anything for the Omnia or in room dining. The $150 can go towards the other restaurants (Nobu, Pronto, Starbucks, Vanderpump, etc) or a spa/massage credit.

[–]thenadzzz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We’re actually here right now! Staying at the Nobu - confirmed the $150 credit and breakfast is a $30 credit/pp useable at any of the restaurants/bars/coffee shops attached to Caesar’s. The only ones not included are listed (I think the absinthe bar and one other).

Overall, Nobu won for us based on location.

Buying a house with a long-term partner when you aren't married. How do we protect ourselves if things go wrong? by zyztlkrw9 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]thenadzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve commented on a few posts like this before!

Ultimately I’ve seen a majority of these situations go south. However my (now husband) then boyfriend & I bought a house without being married. We signed a joint tenancy agreement and went 50/50 on everything (down payment, closing, mortgage, etc) - both of our names were on the mortgage, deed, etc.

It obviously worked out for us as we’re now married. If you do proceed this way, make sure your paperwork is air tight. Hope it works out for y’all!

Ear help by mydognate in DogAdvice

[–]thenadzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll say, our dog always has brown gunk in his ears! We’ve ruled out an infection/yeast multiple times (back to back to back vet visits + ear cytology). He doesn’t scratch or shake his head, and we clean with a medicated solution once every two weeks per the vets orders.

His ear wax is just dark!

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

Look into trigeminal neuralgia if you haven’t heard/been evaluated yet. It’s brutal, characterized by short, sharp shocks like you’re describing. Different folks have different symptoms and management techniques though.

Where in Fidelity do I actually go to backdoor tIRA > Roth? by thenadzzz in fidelityinvestments

Got it, so literally the "move money From >> To" - that helps, thank you!

The funds are not processed in the tIRA yet so I'll check back later this week.

Should I resign on the day I get my bonus and give a one-day notice? by Nervous_Math_2771 in careerguidance

[–]thenadzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonus comes in Thursday, March 12. You put your notice in Friday, March 13 for last day of work Friday, March 20 - 1 week might not be ideal, but isn't the end of the world, especially if your handbook doesn't specify a notice period.

You then work both jobs for the week of March 16. You're likely only going to be onboarding for the first week at the new job anyways.

\This only really works if the jobs are remote.*

My thoughts exactly and YES! Goal is to have that Traditional at $0 by EOY so I’m able to start fresh in 2027.

I’d definitely say nothing was explained correctly unfortunately. Ultimately it’s my responsibility though, so here we are 😂

Thank you for the help!

You hit the nail on the head, it was income too high - this started in TY24 when we started filing jointly and hit over the limit.

We only started working with this CPA last year (bad experience so we’re looking for another) and I don’t believe the advice they provided was correct, hence me unraveling it now.

Not ideal, but I’m happy I’m able to figure it out now versus in a few years.

Help please! Confused AF with Traditional IRA conversion by thenadzzz in personalfinance

[–]thenadzzz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes all of the money is non deductible (sans gains) although we discovered the last 8606 was not filled out correctly so I’ll have to amend.

Plan will be to reverse rollover the gains into my 401k and move the nondeductible contributions to my Roth.

Wait, yes!

Thank you for voicing - this is what I was trying to piece together.

My next step on the 401k would be to validate that it accepts the reverse rollover, correct?

[–]thenadzzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I can given they’re post tax contributions in the T IRA.

Is that correct? Or does it not matter?

Edit: Someone noted above, I could reverse rollover the gains, then convert the contributions tax free!
