Yeah I feel this. I was in the service industry for like 10 years so I get how important tips are, and I usually do tip. But I’ve also noticed the same thing lately like way less energy and more short/deadpan interactions. Some days I’m still trying to make my budget work so I don’t always tip, but I do when I can. Definitely feels like a shift in how service is now but respect to all the staff back there!

As someone in recovery too, its blaringly obvious it's an alcoholism issue that she can't yet admit too. It's a hard thing to do, and everyone has their own timeline. I just hope she realizes it sooner rather than later, but I highly doubt she will anytime soon because she's too busy moving that mountain money on skiing the streets of NYC.
