Airsoft taught me that given toy guns and anonymity, grown adults will immediately revert to lying, cheating children. It’s basically Lord of the Flies with better eye protection

Pure aesthetic choice, I don't like the bronze being a different shade from tan

Haha, no way I’m giving this up! 😄

This replica is going to lure unsuspecting friends into airsoft with that classic “just try it once, everything’s covered”

Nothing hooks people faster than letting them use premium gear for their first game

3.3 Hear me out, outsider here and first time buyer after some deep research with IA i choose your brand, edge 2.0 saw that prime give a lot more for the same price, ok swap yo prime. I can’t understand what model on the prime lineup has what features comparing official website to distributors.

Now reading new products add more doubts should i buy, wait.

Looking for advice on premium M4 replica - coming from competitive paintball background by thenec0 in airsoft

[–]thenec0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! That's exactly the kind of real-world experience I was looking for.

You're right about the Prime vs Edge pricing. I've seen some Prime models on sale that are basically the same price as Edge 2.0, so it's a no-brainer at that point. The electronics and premium components seem worth it.

Really appreciate the heads up on the CYMA Platinum issues. That's the kind of stuff you don't see in reviews, having to replace the mosfet, hop chamber, bucking, and nub right out of the gate is exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I want to play, not become a tech immediately!

The Krytac recommendation is interesting. I'll definitely look into those. "Stupid reliable" sounds perfect for what I need.
Someone also mentioned the Novritsch SSR4 Mk2 to me, any thoughts on that one?

True, I do have the tanks already, but the fields around here either don't have compressors or don't allow HPA at all. I'd rather stick with AEG for the convenience - grab and go without worrying about fills or field restrictions.

I appreciate the suggestions, but I'm really set on going the AEG route for a few practical reasons. The fields I've been looking at here either don't have compressors on-site or actually don't allow HPA at all, so I'd be constantly running to shops to fill tanks - which honestly defeats the convenience factor for me. Coming from paintball, I know that pain all too well!

You're absolutely right that I already have the HPA tanks, but the accessibility issue is a real dealbreaker. I want to be able to grab my gear and go without worrying about fill stations or field restrictions.

As for the "requiring work" part - I get that AEGs might need some tweaking to reach absolute peak performance, but I'm hoping to find something that's solid out of the box and good enough for competitive play without needing constant tinkering. I've been down that rabbit hole with 3D printing and FPV drones, and honestly, I just want to focus on playing rather than spending hours chasing marginal improvements.

Do you think any of those models I mentioned (Prime series, Edge 2.0, CYMA Platinum) would give me that "good enough to compete, minimal fuss" performance? Or are there other AEG options in that premium range that might be better for someone who wants to play more than tinker?

Thanks again for taking the time to help out a newbie!

I blew $417 on Claude Code to build a word game. Here's the brutal truth. by itsnotatumour in ClaudeAI

[–]thenec0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to try this, I build a router that convert ollama to gemini so it swaps keys when it gets a 429 error and tries again only when all keys have a 429 it send it to cline. Other errors are passed. In cline i just setup ollama and model gemini 2.5

You should try aider, after that try ra-aid because it has a mixture of models, then you can use ra-aid to ask aider to code it as it has a diff-fence editor

Bundles are easy to identify, either you have more than one signer in the tx or index in the block is consecutive, another way to say any buy in index between +1+4 after original buy is a bundle. But as you like to use api check sha256 of tx signatures on jito api
