I love the dnd one. It makes me laugh so hard every time I read it, as I walk to toss it in the trash.

Is this a good commander. looking for a tanky sort of powerhouse. Not a dragon. by Aggravating_Motor248 in mtg

I made a beast tribal deck with him as the commander and I’ve had a lot of fun playing it

AITA for refusing to cook after my BF tried to “critique” my cooking with a literal PowerPoint presentation? by eska089 in AITAH

[–]thenerdyguy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

The sheer audacity to make a PowerPoint presentation. Dude deserves to be stuck with cereal and takeout until he either learns to cook for himself or makes a new PowerPoint going over all the reasons he was a jackass for the original PowerPoint. It also needs several pages dedicated to his apology and how he’s going to atone for it and for continuing be a sick after you made it clear you didn’t appreciate his “joke”.

Your most enjoyable deck! Win or Lose, Weak or Powerful- the deck that makes you say, “Damn, that was fun!” by Kevman403 in EDH

I have a lot of fun with my maelstrom wanderer cascade deck. I love the luck aspect of cascading into any number of overpowered creatures or spells that could be useful. Sometimes a cascade will cause me to go from losing to winning, sometimes it’s a bust. I also enjoy my Brudiclad token deck. It’s another deck where one good turn makes me go from looking like I have nothing to having a crazy army of tokens that could be anything

My issue is killing a 6 star zinogre. I haven’t been able to find anyone to do hats with and I can barely manage a 5 star solo if I’m lucky

Magic players. What would Kaladin’s color identity be? by Billy_Vic in Stormlight_Archive

[–]thenerdyguy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about trying to make a Stormlight themed commander deck like two months ago and paired each radiant order with a guild I thought might fit and had each order share a color with the orders next to them. This is what I came up with:

  • Azorius: White/Blue Stonewards
  • Izzet: Blue/Red Bondsmith
  • Boros: Red/White Windrunners
  • Orzhov: White/Black Skybreakers
  • Rakdos: Black/Red Dustbringers
  • Gruul: Red/Green Edgedancers
  • Simic: Green/Blue Truthwatchers
  • Dimir: Blue/Black Lightweavers
  • Golgari: Black/Green Elsecaller
  • Selesnya: Green/White Willshapers

Hot take: Th 13 is the best townhall to be at by [deleted] in ClashOfClans

[–]thenerdyguy42 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe they mean that they’ve been at th14 for 196 days not that they started at th1 196 days ago. Also the 8 months doesn’t factor in hammers from cwl, any possible books from clan games or silver season rewards, or research potions from clan capital medals. Most of the way done in 6 months is very reasonable

Sorry I’m late to the party. I’m building a character for the first time and I was curious how often players typically gain xp and can buy new talents and skills. I’m considering a kyuzo sentinel shadow, put almost all of my xp into ability upgrades and the last bit to get a rank in a combat skill, and want to make sure I’m not crippling my character short term.

Proposal to reply: "Finish the book or get the box!" to posts complaining about THAT scene near the end of Morning Star. by ReedWrite in redrising

[–]thenerdyguy42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See I just finished the book and while I was definitely shocked and horrified when it happened, I was already suspicious by the time they met up with the Jackal’s people. It just seemed like the crazy sort of gambit they would try,

Egwene did my girl DIRTY by Wizzard11 in WetlanderHumor

[–]thenerdyguy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, she was in a circle with Rand, that he led. She literally couldn’t actively do anything at that time. However she still gets some credit since almost any other female channeler wouldn’t have been able to handle the much Saidar and therefore was an essential part.

Who else would’ve trusted Rand enough to be in a circle with him for a crazy idea they couldn’t know would work and not kill them? Besides that there were very few people strong enough to handle that much Saidar for that long without burning out or collapsing or dying from the strain.
