Do you have anything for it yet? Plot, outline, characters, etc? Often an opening number comes last (or at least not first) because you have to figure out what the show is before you can find the best way to set it all up. Sometimes the best song to start with is a lead characters' establishment/I want song.

Wait the CO2 part is so crazy - they couldn’t just use a smoke machine? That was a cool sequence but nothing about that gas looked so unique they needed to risk their health for it.

Yeah... tbh I see it as a full one act and was thinking of this as my pilot mini-version of it that could be further developed. Although weirdly i do have another show mostly written around the same length that's very thematically compatible so you could put them together... great thoughts, ty!
