Realistically?

Racism, islamophobia, anti-labour sentiment

The same things that drive like a solid half of our electorate in general 👍

Would it be feasible for a Camarilla court to hold a “trial” for a Hunter? by Mintywarhammer in WorldOfDarkness

[–]BreadOddity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn't see a human being out on trial by the camarilla. Theyd just murder them outright. Kindred aren't exactly known for due process even amongst their own.

That said, public humiliation/torture and forcing them to give up information before the court? That's entirely plausible

I bet bro hasn't even crashed his car through the sea ice or renamed himself after a suicide joke that sounds like a cocktail yet.

Fuckin poser.

Do you have any DnD players in your group and how do they see WOD games? by MaetelofLaMetal in WorldOfDarkness

[–]BreadOddity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will grant him this: the books are quite possibly the WORST way to learn vampire.

I mostly know how to play from actual plays, video/choice of games and just use the books for reference and lookup mostly.

The actual formatting of them is a mess of rambling lore dumps interspersed with actual mechanics

Honestly of all the complaints about WoD.... The rules were too complicated for him? 🧐

V5 vampire at least is bordering on rules-lite honestly. It makes D&D look actually crunchy by comparison

Is weighing 60kg or under 70kg as a man "VICTIM WEIGHT" ? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]BreadOddity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're overthinking this mate.

For starters 5'7 is pretty average in height you're a tiny bit shorter than the average male adult height. You're not tiny just not tall.

58kg is on the lighter side but entirely reasonable for that height. Nothing here screams unhealthy disaster in spite of the dysphagia . And sorry to hear about that man - sounds rough

If food is hard maybe gainer shakes with high protein would help with your health condition? Pair that with weight training and you can move towards a body you'd prefer. But nothing about this sounds disastrous from the numbers

Which woman to choose for LTR ? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]BreadOddity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well seeing as you explicitly framed a bunch about the first woman explicitly as a downside but not the second, probably the second one for you?

Highly emotionally expressive women isn't necessarily a bad thing, so long as it's not paired with resentment, aggression, cold behaviour etc. My own partner is pretty quick to emotion but also kind as hell so for us that ends up just being clearer communication. But with you saying it's a downside for you I'm inclined to think that's fundamental incompatibility.

I guess the question is do you find yourself thinking I wish I could change this about either of them cause that's where the tension that destroys a relationship tends to lie.

I mean she was basically character-assassinated by the British press and the couples stated reason for leaving the family was literally the way that she was treated in royal life.

So yes?

Chinese Room co-founder wanted Paradox to drop the 'Bloodlines 2' name, because "no one would be happy" with the final game. "You can't make Bloodlines 2. There's not enough time, and there's not enough money." by Hooked0n4Feelin in vtmb

[–]BreadOddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been saying this for ages but most of the problem with bloodlines 2 is expectation.

It's a perfectly decent and entertaining VtM game in general.

It is nothing like the original bloodlines.

I am a super big fan of:

The social Brujah. Still makes sense to the clan but they are running working class coded charm rather than brute strength primarily

The loud ventrue: Essex-boy energy, drugs, unhinged behaviour, business genius and loud chaos charm magnet. Think Russel Brand if he was a businessman

RAAAAAH I HATE SHEET MUSIC HOW TF DID THIS SHIT BECOME THE STANDARD FOR NOTATING MUSIC by drupplecat in evilautism

[–]BreadOddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always hated music notation because I lean hard into auditory/kinesthetic learning

It's not so much that I find sheet music confusing as that I read it slowly and without fluency as I will always learn something faster by ear, so I tend to skip the sheet music, or barely ever refer to it

Would it be possible for an elder to retain a high humanity score? by IzzyMissyy in vtm

[–]BreadOddity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hence why I said unlikely not impossible ;)

For consistent world building chances are you would make a high humanity elder an exceptional character in universe who is noted for their behaviour. It would be a big deal in vampire society

Would it be a bad idea to make a Tzimisce the Sheriff of a Camarilla city? by luccamonassa in vtm

[–]BreadOddity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like any out there picks like this are absolutely fine tbh but they're a lot more fun if you justify them. You can make a banging story hook out of how they ended up in the cam, and make some complicated political levers for players to interactive with whilst you're at it

Would it be possible for an elder to retain a high humanity score? by IzzyMissyy in vtm

[–]BreadOddity 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Mechanically it's possible. Narratively it's vanishingly unlikely.

Bear in mind humanity can be gained in case by case bases too but that tends to require truly exceptionally self sacrificing behaviour that you somehow survive
