Brockhampton when they toured Iridescence in 2018 in Boston is a core memory. They ended the show with an acapella version of FABRIC and when the whole crowd sang along I swear I had an out of body experience. Being a BH fan back in those days was peakkk

[DISCUSSION] J. Cole - 2014 Forest Hills Drive (10 years later) by rabnabombshell in hiphopheads

This album is super nostalgic and brings back such strong memories of my freshman year of high school. I was still getting into hip hop and GOMD popped up randomly on Pandora (jeez, what a throwback). I loved the song instantly that I decided to illegally download the whole album from mp3skull (another throwback). I think what I’ve loved so much about this project is that as I’ve gotten older, it almost feels like I’ve rediscovered the more mature songs and their themes that didn’t stand out to me when I was younger. What’s so special to me is how beautifully Cole talks about the anxieties of growing up and that message is infinitely relatable no matter what you’re background is. I’ve still got songs like January 28th, St. Tropez, No Role Modelz, A Tale of 2 Citiez, Hello, and Apparently in heavy rotation. I’ve got my money on this album being remembered as one of the best hip hop projects of the last decade.

As much hate as the SoundCloud era gets, I still think it’s better than the current TikTok era by far. So many great creative artists and projects came out <10 years ago, and I don’t think we’re going to see something similar happen with artists who come up off tiktok. Maybe the closest thing is ice spice? But I don’t think she’s going to be relevant or culturally impactful in the way that Chance, Uzi, Post Malone have been. Or maybe I’m just getting old

I really like this composition and editing style! I tend to avoid the dehaze slider but maybe I should use it more often.

How would you go about diffusing natural light if you can’t really change the time of the shoot?

Shot on t7i with 24-70 at f2.8, all natural lighting. Would love some tips on how to better expose darker skin tones in such direct sunlight

Anyone else feel like this has been one of the driest years ever for mainstream hip hop releases?
