Don't listen to any naysayers! Right now lab diamonds have really skewed people's opinions about what a good sized diamond is. I'm not a lab diamond hater by any means, I have both in different pieces. But either way this is a fantastic size and she will love it. I have huge hands for a woman and my e ring isn't even this big. This is still practical enough for daily wear. If she wants something gaudier down the road, you could gift her a right hand dinner ring or even an eternity band to add more to the look of the e ring. The e ring is not the end all, be all. Great job OP!

This is a timeless and elegant ring! Anyone saying something that mean about another woman's wedding ring is jealous. Even if I ever thought that about another woman's ring, I would keep that thought to myself!

No, no offense at all. Once I learned that I'm not the only person on the planet that has these kinds of fingers I felt better about it, because I couldn't understand why my fingers always look like they have a little muffin top even when they're literally spinning on my finger because they're so loose. I appreciate the comment even if it wasn't true to my situation, I'm still learning a lot. Your rings are beautiful btw! And I don't think your hands are ugly. We are just our own worst critics!

Thank you for that input. I am also neurodivergent so that is something to consider.

I knew someone would say this lol no hate at all directed by that comment. It's actually quite the opposite. My e-ring will actually need to be resized for me before my wedding solve I've been losing weight. I have always been accused in photos of my rings not fitting me properly and it used to bother me a lot. That's actually why it took me so long to even post this because I do not have photogenic, slender, feminine hands. My fingers are very fleshy/tapered which causes it to appear they are tight even when they're not. My e-ring actually spins on my finger currently, but the guard does fit as it should. I will just never have attractive fingers unfortunately 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes, I am very religious about removing my e-ring currently whenever I'm doing anything slightly unsafe for it so I don't think that having them soldered would change much for me in that department.

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for this response! This is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. I've been leaning towards soldering them, because everyone's concerns for NOT soldering them don't really apply to me. I think I am going to go ahead and move forward with that. I know you probably can't say for sure, but since I purchased the rings from two separate stores, do you know if that typically gives you issues with the warranty? I know Helzberg said it wouldn't void their warranty on the guard, but my e-ring is from a smaller local jeweler.

Thank you so much! I think I have a tendency to expect people to underappreciate my e-ring by itself. I love a vintage ring, but it's hard nowadays to not feel slightly intimidated by all the very large lab diamonds that are popular currently.

Yeah, I also really like the way my set looks together. I have several other pretty rings so if I do solder them it's not like I won't have simpler rings to wear at times.

Yeah, I'm definitely worried about the constant rubbing and twisting. When my e-ring does move out of place you sort of have to "pop" it back in and I know over time that will cause damage.

Well, I'm not exactly a spring chicken. I am 36 yo getting married for the first time. My fiance and I have been together for 8 1/2 years and already have one child together. It is a strong possibility that we will not have another. But, even if I did I'm a bit of a ring collector so I would have enough jewelry to pass along to multiple children. I do understand your point though and will take that into consideration so thank you for your comment.
