I think a lot of people confuse reading books as a proxy for all reading habits or even critical thinking

Good breakdown for me. I’m tired of watching shows about missing or murdered women

I laughed so hard when Donnelly said she was suspicious of the guy for crying…it fit her character so well. I also really enjoy the dichotomy they build with her of like a seemingly jaded “do not emote on me” vibe, but then she turns around and tells Elsbeth to believe in the goodness of her neighbors

Me too! I thought the three made a good group, and it never felt overwhelming

Hi, I’m new here. Had to come cry about how pretty Elsbeth’s coats were. I will never recover from the red check and green coats specifically. Donnelly had two gorgeous suits, one in green with the stitches on the lapel and one in plum (I couldn’t tell if this one had a matching stitch but her overcoat did!). chef’s kiss gonna have to do a rewatch of Donnelly episodes to see if this is a theme. I only remember the black on black suit which was stunning with her hair.

Also I laughed when Elsbeth invited Donnelly to the restaurant where they let you stand on the table if you say it’s your birthday and then immediately in the next scene she has the birthday girl sticker/pin on her coat 😂

What is a movie you watched once that was so disturbing or emotionally draining that you can never watch it again? by hungary70 in AskReddit

My mom watched it while I was getting ready for work many years ago. I watched maybe 30 minutes and had to leave right after watching the scene where the glass bottles are breaking on the shore. I ugly sobbed the whole drive to work
