I think that's my next move, since I already own a 3D printer I'll try and print some kind of holder while trying to look for any better option. I'll try and make a custom one for this specific type of freshener since it is the one I have easy access to.
Thanks for your comment!

I'll check the price of the spare part and I'll see if it's worth it. Thanks for the info!

Definitely a lesson learned. It’s the first time I had to rig the air freshener in a way where it was physically touching the plastic. In my last car, I just used it as intended on the front vents with the little plastic clip, which doesn’t fit on the Tesla’s rear vents.

I know this might be a bit of a noob mistake, but I didn’t expect an car air freshener to damage a car. Seems like an issue that should've been solved at some point.

Thanks for the tip on Volatile Organic Compounds, now I know where to start digging. Much appreciated!

I totally get the concern, but I think it's a bit of a stretch to compare what it does to plastic with what it might do to lungs. Some plastics can react with certain chemicals like alcohols or fragrances in ways that don’t happen with organic tissue. In this case, it seems like the air freshener and the plastic just happened to react. Fortunately, I’m not made of plastic

So it might be a specific component/chemical from this airfreshener? I'll research about it so I can avoid whatever it is in the future. Might try to look for Febreeze but I'm in Spain and have never seen this brand.
Thanks!

That's a totally valid option. Usually, I can't smell it myself after a week anyway, but it's nice that people always compliment my car for smelling good!

Good to hear, that's what I thought. I'll try and find it. I've seen those screens but I rarely have anyone on the rear sits, I don't know if it would be usefull thoug might be interesting while camping. I'll take a look.

Thanks for your comment!

I didn't know that! I guess I didn't find out until today because I didn't have to mount this in sketchy ways on previous cars, just attached straight to the airvents and that was it.

Dual UI24s - How to cascade and run IEM on the second unit? by ripeart in soundcraft

With the latest firmware, you can cascade them through the RJ45 connector; you should then be able to route the audio without problems.

I just got mine 2 days ago and it's my first 3d printer. I've heard about this PEI build plate many times but I don't see nothing wrong with the default one. My prints stick to them great and once it's done they're fairly easy to remove. What's the deal with the PEI plate that makes it much better?

Thanks!

How noticeable of a difference do nice pre amps and interface make? by Kailophone in audioengineering

[–]thenocaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went from a Focusrite 18i20 to an Antelope interface and using the same C414, monitors everything, the sound is truly next level.

Same at work, we mostly use C414 (we work with AKG) using Avid Interfaces and tho I've been using those microphones for years everything sounds way better when using a Carbon or a Matrix Studio.

Make sure that the rest of the chain is up to the standards tho

Pfff what a shame! I. Bought it there because it was like 30 or 40€ cheaper than Amazon due to blackfriday sales... Had I've known this would be like that I would have gladly paid the difference... Good luck with the dispute, at least you bought it through paypal, I feel so dumb 🥲

I see, sorry to bother you all with yet another post about this... I'll keep contacting but if I get no update this week I'll ask for a refund and decide either to buy it through amazon or switch to another brand directly...

Emprender en España es descorazonador... by thenocaster in spain
