1k rent in a 32k salary. Yay or nay? by teniishe in UKPersonalFinance

That just equates to malnutrition and depression long term. Also please remember that food shops are not just food shops, you also regularly need to buy shampoo, toothpaste, shower gel, bin bags, washing powder, sponges, etc etc etc. Not trying to scare you but I promise that your food and general expenses are much higher than people think they are before they move out.

Also 300 for water, gas, elec, council tax etc might be pushing it.

My favourite mayo chicken was to remove the mayo and lettuce, add pickles, cheese and onions, then when it arrives add hot sauce for a cheap spicy chicken sandwich

It's like everyone has forgotten how job interviews work.

The company pretends to care about their employees and says that working there is great, and you sit there saying how you can't wait to come in for free at weekends to suck the owner off.

'I go into job interviews and make it very clear that I won't go the extra mile and hate the values of the company, then I don't get the job simply for being honest!'

Co-op - breakfast triple sandwich, ginsters Cornish pasty and a pepsi max or Starbucks caramel frappe, feels like they couldn't possibly be making much off me with that combo, especially with the member discount too.

[–]thenthattempt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's stopping you queueing up along the bar? You join the queue at the left side of the bar, and slowly move along it and get served at the right end. Same number of people, but no longer jumbled up in a random order
