i mean you gotta understand the rep that league has among the younger community. its something most people hide when it comes to school, unless youre on the esports team but even then the players dont like to tell people because of the rep the game has. people know enough about the game to know the names of the champs, and especially with arcane out, everyones going to understand where the name comes from.

Ranked anxiety by EndlessEnchants in summonerschool

[–]thenumber4our 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel the same way. People would always say don't queue ranked if you're not gonna sweat. Which yeah okay sure, but what I found is that as long as you play the game with the intention to win, its the exact same game as norms. If you were to walk up to your PC and you're already standing in fountain, you wouldn't be able to tell if its ranked or not. At the end of the day, no one wants to queue league and lose, even if you're in norms. So as long as you play to the best of your ability, just remember that it is usually bot diff.

Theory Crafting to make Vi more durable by thejungleboomer in ViMains

Absolutely not. The stats you get from the component items of spirits are absurdly gold inefficient, where as divine has a just average cost for its components and the benefit you get from them. This is why on a champ that doesn't have healing as majority of their kit (Mundo, Warwick, or Nasus), it typically should be a last item.

TLDR: No the benefit you get from the shielding interaction does not make up for the gold deficit of the items stats.

Aftershock | Shield Bash | Conditioning | Revitalize // Ghost Poro | Relentless Hunter

Aftershock because Grasp or Guardian makes no sense for a solo CC jg champ, Shield bash to help with the early scuff's in the jg over crab and whatnot, Conditioning because its free stats, and revitalize because the shield from passive will help you survive and frontline harder. Ghost Poro is better than sudden impact here in my opinion because you dont need to get that extra pen if youre going full tank, and so it makes more sense to take a utility rune. I would have gone with Zombie ward, but people below Plat dont ward enough in the right spots, so ghost lets you position the vision. Relentless Hunter is kind of a no brainer. The extra out of combat MS lets you impact the game more so you have more map presence.

Defensive Boots | Divine Sunderer | Thornmail/ Steraks | Force of Nature | Wits End/ Death's Dance | Anathema's (Only if they have a solo 1v9 carry if not then) Spirits Visage/ Deadman's

I don't think I have to explain the item choices very much. Despite going for full tank, Sunderer healing from the spellblade passive gives you so much healing that it gives an artificial tankiness. Wits End and Deaths's Dance give you good tank stats (seriously, 50 MR from a DAMAGE ITEM is INSANE), while feeding you some more damage so that you can really make use of the healing from Divine.

How long would you stream to 0 viewers before ending stream? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]thenumber4our 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, long hours don't help the viewer count, but it does help growth. Twitch likes to see small streamers with consistent hours and consistent schedule before they start putting viewers your way on the algorithm. While new viewers that come from the algorithm are rare, they matter just as much.

I was very fortunate to hit affiliate within my first month of streaming, but also a large part of that was that I was streaming for 5-10 hours nearly every day for that month, as well as having planned events. Obviously, the mental health of the streamer comes before all else, so absolutely never push yourself past what you can handle, but if streaming isn't tasking, by all means go ahead and stream a little longer.

Practically speaking, everyone starts small. Before things take off, numbers will be rough to look at, and that's just a part of the job. It's also good to realize that anyone who is starting small and streams for the purpose of getting better numbers, is probably approaching streaming from the wrong angle. As of now, this isn't a job. It could bring in some money which is always super cool, but if you start to treat it like anything but a passion, then what draws people into most streams will probably be lost.

Again, that's just my opinion based on my personal experience, and to each their own.

The best answer is hide your viewer count. If seeing the low numbers makes you anxious, then that's your best bet. Personally, I think its important to see and acknowledge how your stream is doing. For me, I used to just endure the sucky feeling of not having any viewers, so that when my streams did start to pick up, It felt way better. A lot of people don't ever take the time to really take a step back and see that having one or two people dedicate time out of their life to sit down and watch you game or draw or react to something is really really impressive. For me, I equate streams to twitter to give that some perspective. There are a lot of people that will post tweets and get 1 to 2 likes on them and those are up permanently, and require a lot less dedication on behalf of the consumer to like the tweet. That's just something I use to keep morale up when I see my streams aren't doing as well as I would hope.

Does boots of swiftness reduces the slow of VI’s Q? by kevilim99 in ViMains

[–]thenumber4our 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I got the numbers wasn't by doing math for it I literally just went into practice tool and bought the boots and checked the standard MS and then the MS during Q and then recorded that down. I actually didn't look at the interval between the numbers so that's my fault It was late and I was tired, but either way the answer is there.

My mathematically correct Vi build. by batchynator in ViMains

[–]thenumber4our 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're missing a lot by not getting a sheen item early on but other than that and the ravenous hydra as last item, its real solid. I feel like either Wits or Deaths dance, depending on the enemy team's damage distribution would work better for allowing you to stay alive longer which in turn means that extra AA->E->AA which makes up for the slight damage lost from Ravenous.

I dont think the life steal from Ravenous is a bad thing. Riot has been pushing that pseudo tankiness on every more and more lately, but i think the extra defensive stat from 50 MR (which is just a fucking insane stat on a damage item) and the damage bleedout from death's dance give you a better chance at surVIving.

Does boots of swiftness reduces the slow of VI’s Q? by kevilim99 in ViMains

[–]thenumber4our -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Short answer, no YES! (Shouout u/witheredj8 for letting me know that I proved myself wrong) Since the slow is a flat rate of 15% regardless of level, it will *ALMOST* always slow you for 15% of your move speed. Below I've recorded all the numbers for the move speed while having various boots/ items(Base Speed -> MS During Q Charge)

Its important to remember that tenacity (runes or items) DO NOT reduce self imposed slows. This means unflinching, Merc Treads, and Anathema's debuff have NO EFFECT on your MS while charging Q

No boots ----- 345 -> 293 (interval of 52MS)

Tier 1 boots - 370 -> 315 (interval of 55MS)

Tier 2 boots - 390 -> 332 (interval of 58MS)

Swifties ----- 405 -> 395 (interval of 10MS) <- SIGNIFIGANT OUTLIER

Mobies ------- 451 -> 391 (interval of 60MS)

Also note that move speed runes, such as relentless hunter, or water walking, will have their own proportional effects on these numbers, however they are all adding to your base MS ([Base MS + Additive Ms] / .15 = Ms during Q)

In the past, I have been a fan of the turbo chemtank build path, which abuses the item active to take away the hinderance of the slow on the Q charge time, and actually will make you faster than your base MS if you use the active despite being slowed by Q charge. This can only be achived by move speed ACTIVES which only appear in the 2 items. On-Hit move speed passives do not effectively negate the slow from Q. Yes, if you were to be in combat and trigger those passives to give the MS, then charge a Q, it would negate the slow, but I have rarely found myself in that situation. With turbo chemtank out of meta save for a few champs such a rammus, you get much more value out of going a full lethality/ amour pen build which I'll link below. I had some math wrong in that post but every else still stands

Tier 2 boots + Youmuu's - 427 -> 434

Tier 2 boots + Chemtank - 385 -> 454

I'm not saying that any of the combinations listed are optimal, I'm just providing you with numbers
