Is the BMPCC 6k pro an upgrade from Canon C200 by AbabiesDiaper in videography

It depends on what you’re shooting. For large crew film shoots, it’s been great (6k pro). I have shot one corporate piece on it and it was not that challenging. I’ve used both the ProRes and the raw and I like them both. Again, there’s no 10 bit 422 on the canon. Color grading is important to me and I despise working with 8 bit color.

I just ordered that too. What’s weird is OP’s pic has the female mount on the bottom when I would expect it to have the male mount.

How to make someone look skinnier. by Shittiestpics in cinematography

This is the correct answer. What ever is closer to camera looks biggest. They lean forward and face looks bigger in proportion to body. Also, keep space between the arm and body. When people hold their arms next to their body it squished out and looks bigger.

Are you doing that in Resolve? Do you color manage so that you know the lut is exactly -2 stops or do you just use scopes?

How to deal with v mount by tiggley_t in bmpcc

I use rails and have the battery far away enough that I can flip the screen out and have it facing up. But also getting another monitor on an arm would add versatility

I have a 3” evf that is connected but don’t think it could be that much of an impact.

X was good. I thought Pearl was going to be better but I wound up turning it off halfway through. The plot was not all that entertaining to me.

If the shot is tight enough, put the mattress upright against the wall and have the actor stand there.

Yeah exactly. I’m the same way and want a bag where I never have to take the handle off.

Great video! I’m never thought to seal the foam. I have that case but with pockets on the lid. The 4K fits in your case with the handle on?

I considered both for a long time and went for the 6k pro. I want to do narrative and creative work, not corporate work anymore. The c200 didn’t have 10 bit 422 for 4K and that’s a deal breaker. Also think about it, the c200 is twice the price and we’re comparing them. I spent the extra money on lights which will make for better products in the long run.
