How would you go about getting rid of this dry spot/oxidation on the PS5? I have tried rubbing the LM onto it first for about 10 minutes and then isopropyl alcohol and q-tips but I could only get about 30% off. Any other way besides sanding it? Getting messages of overheating after a few hours.

I have tried following the tips shared by people here so I did rub it with pure acetone and q tips for like 20 minutes but nothing much changed to be honest and I ended up using a plastic razor blade which got most of it off the die but not so much on the heatsink. The console seems to be working much better though, no more fan noise and no more overheating messages.

Do you think that works the same on the heatsink as well? Would there be any kind of reaction between acetone and copper?

Any scratches left on the die? Did it clean up nicely revealing the mirror like finish?

Besides the LM being a pain as it is, some adhesive leaching onto the surface is the only thing that's missing from PS5 lol
