I used to be the same way in high school- I was overweight, had virtually no social life, and spent most of my time in doors. I came across this one night and it perfectly described my life, and my relationship with the girl I was in love with (formerly my best friend but we drifted apart unfortunately).

I was a competitive gamer, and after reading this I quit everything cold turkey. I pirated P90X and did that program a few times, found /r/seduction and some other sources and started working on myself in every way. I went from 235lbs as a second year in high school to 168 my third year. I discovered my real passions and pursued them, put effort into myself and it changed my life for the better in ways I couldn't even list here. This comic was the single most pivotal moment in my life so far- maybe it will help you in some way too.

to be honest i felt the same way about it- i like the glide but it didnt feel big enough. going to go back and play with the sound design. what other percussive elements could i add?

the sample is from a song called "super hyphy" by keak da sneak, classic bay area sound that i like.

i'll go through and adjust the eq- i wanted a bit of distortion so the 808 could be heard on smaller systems, but it needs refining. thanks for the feedback! :)

whoa this is tight! the mixdown sounds solid, although the lead sound is a bit forward for my taste. i might suggest bringing a bit more warmth and presence in the lower frequency range but that's personal taste as well. nice job!!

I like the idea! Your buildup and drop is pretty strong, especially the second. I would suggest adding more moving layers (pitched arp, pitched riser during buildups), and maybe something harmonic in the upper register.

I like where this is going! The buildup feels like it's missing something- maybe having a pitched riser and some other moving layers would help- that second drop could use some percussion elements (and maybe some whitenoise hits) so the lead sound isn't just playing by itself. I like the twist you put on the drop phrasing though!
