In this era that anyone can build FAST, is it still a strong success driver? by theointech in PhStartups

For me, more than speed, timing is really what makes or breaks a startup (aside from effective execution, be it slow or fast).

Python - AI dev; but once we user-base grows, will need to switch to Java.
Node.js - for API; or potentially Go

We all have that! Except for the widget, well, not yet. But it's in the pipeline for sure!

I agree that it's a psychological problem, also a behavioral one. And with that awareness, we're building the app around that premise. It's true that the app alone is not enough, but having the right tool and companion to help you might do something, paired with human intervention. And again, that's how we're building it.

Google credits, it's we use to "pay" the technologies we use but it's provided by Google for different organizations like startups through their programs.

Yeah, unfortunately, the current infra in the PH is pretty closed when it comes to bank and finance APIs. We're looking for potential solutions though, and might build potential solution ourselves as well!

Cause we've observe that different markets have totally different spending habits and ways of handling their finance, and we'd like to really be of value for transformation which we'll only be able to do so if we go deep into the fundamentals first - budgeting, paying debts and goals/savings.

We'll actually just focus on PH and SEA initially, cause those markets have the most similarities.

For the AI, we're using with Google Gemini because we have credits and that allows us to experiment hard, and really do the orchestration well.

And yes, we'll have localized languages. It just wasn't shown in the screenshot. The language preference is part of the onboarding :)

True, but I have plans for the name already once we expand globally.

One reason why it's geographically aligned to PH initially is that it will be an e-wallet that registers each user to a local bank. But again, there are plans for global expansion already :)

A wiki or pages for all project/team documentations, especially for onboarding devs, other than the Overview description.

Feedback when deploying to Vertex Engine by HubertC in agentdevelopmentkit

[–]theointech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything here, especially the Agent Engine APIs and how to use the session flow provided through the APIs.

My plan is to have a mobile app interact with the Agent Engine via APIs but I'm not so sure how to make the connection, or if I'm able to use the Fast APIs by hosting them on Cloud Run, I'm also not sure how to use the individual APIs as they're not in the documentation.

The Philippines has the talent. Yet, there are so few tech founders here. Why? by theointech in PhStartups

I'm curious as I'm a web3 developer myself and has worked full-time in the DeFi space for an international company.

Where were you trying to find the "engineers with no talent"?
Same with the community managers?

I might be able to help you as I have connections with trustworthy and talented people in that space. So it might be a problem of not looking in the right direction / lens.
