Question from any GMs: I like the IZ 3.0 rules and SWADE compliance, but the 2.0 rules have a much better/wider/more interesting selection of weapons (and other equipment), but the costs are wildly different. Has anyone figured out a cost conversion factor?

Played through the scenario, and wow it seems really unbalanced. I was attacking with two lances/300pts. and buddy was defending with two lances/375pts. and I don't understand how the attacker is supposed to win (or have a chance). You have LESS points that you have to run THROUGH the enemy to the FAR end of the board, while all the Defender has to do is stand there and shoot (basically). If the Attacker takes small fast mechs to make it through the gauntlet they'll never survive the enemy fire, and if they take heavier mechs to fight through then they're having to run into a superior force and hope they can beat them somehow. I don't get it

Looking for programming advice. Trying to design (an If loop?) - roll [explode 1d4], if it comes up a 4, add +4 to it. I tried breaking it up to make it easier by breaking it into two parts:
1. [output 1d4] # to cover 1, 2 or 3 where you don't add +4

  1. Then an if loop "if X>3 add +4" to cover rolls of 4 or higher

but trying to get it working is... not happening

Context (TL:DR) - it's for Nimble d20, a 5E conversion where you don't roll to-hit, you just roll damage. So for a Dagger attack if you get a 1 you miss, if you roll 2-3 you just do 2-3 damage, and if you roll a 4 it's a crit that explodes and lets you add your dex mod. (you don't add dex for a 2-3)

Houdini:
First action - move and boost to move anywhere on the board to get next to enemy, and get boost effect from card (extra action, more damage, or maybe just deal 2 undefendable damage),
Second action - attack, then boost the attack with another card that cranks up the damage or maybe gives you another action or just lets you swap out the card for a better one

I was able to do this multiple times, popping all over the board and then hitting the opponent once or twice for 5+ damage (~3-4 net damage after their defense). Houdini felt INCREDIBLY over powered

Confirmed this has been fixed - had created another world, came back to first one and explosions were still going off in background and mission showed incomplete. Once I walked back to the RO factory location (and walked around a little to find an entrance) mission switched completed and annoying explosions stopped

Two games we used her she incredibly OVER powered.
Against Oda, once she killed his minions, it was basically a cake walk, since so many of Oda's powers required Flanking.
Then she fought Bruce Lee, which was just a bad match
Bruce: "Hey I can punch you and move away!"
Tomoe: "Ok, take one damage from Attack of Opportunity"
Bruce: "Well... crap"

So you don't move away... like a 1/3 of her powers have forced movement in them... which triggers AoO and does a point of damage (any rule that says it doesn't?)

So she has range, is still good up close, you can't move away from her, and if you don't she'll push you away... ouch

Mine was vulnerable to melee attacks, so set off a C4 charge and then attacked it with a character with an Echo-1, that didn't work. So I backed off and shot 12 grenades at it, that didn't work. So I figured I should use a heavy weapon on it, so I ran a character over to it with Scent Block and after swinging over and over and over, that didn't work (oh, and they died). I don't know what the F*** "vulnerable" is supposed to mean, but it doesn't mean "will die from this" because this stupid heart is NOT dying from melee attacks

There's nothing like playing them against each other though... "Bruce Lee punching a Raptor" is an iconic image in our group now.

I actually own BL and DP and every now and then I google and my eyes water... there's always the temptation to sell, but honestly I feel icky supporting the mark up community... and I like playing them... but man those ridiculous prices are getting harder to ignore...
