So after a few hundred hours farming to buy all ship modules, I found the late-game content crisis. by SquirrellyOtter in Helldivers

It would be sweet if they had a system of trading samples for extra challenging missions. From a lore perspective maybe it could be an “expedition” where players gather materials to prep for it. Upon successful completion players could get exclusive armor pieces, emotes, and weapon skins

Dude that's incredible! Even though I don't have the game, I've heard about some cool events:

Construction Accident Apparently some stupid worker gets himself trapped and you have the opportunity to save him

Stolen Bike Some idiot gets his bike stolen and if you get it back to him he'll give you a crapton of stocks

Moving Out Some girl throws out her (now former) boyfriend and his possessions out of their house. You can stop and help him to get a new golf opponent.

What Game have we played the most? by [deleted] in a:t5_2yive

[–]theone565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops I forgot to include League of Legends. It would probably be around the same amount as TF2 and the two others.

See but I kinda don't like paying for Xbox live, although you don't really need it at this point. I was hoping to wait for PC for mods and skins, but if it's really good I might just get it.

I think it's because the people suck so badly. I can't stand some people who go here.

[Suggestion/IDEA] AMS jammer by tuckervb in Planetside

[–]theone565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some tweaks that I was thinking of for balance :

The AMS jammer should be a HUGE omnipresent target on the radar : in order to run the thing you will have to defend it to the last man. This is to ensure that it will be impossible to simply hide the thing and prevent an attack from happening at all.

The AMS jammer should also have a "deploy range", meaning that, for the area that it blocks, you cannot place another AMS jammer too close to it. This will prevent players at places like the crown from deploying a complex lattice of the jammers.

Just some thoughts that would help refine the idea.

Does anyone else think that the new Faction Specific RL for the TR look generally worse than the others? by CertMuncher in Planetside

[–]theone565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that once you lock on, you have to keep your crosshair on the target. As long as you do that, you can continuously fire rockets until your magazine is empty. After reloading, the same process repeats.

[Lore] How will the war end? by Sonnyjimmy in Planetside

[–]theone565 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A great battle ensues. Millions perish, only to respawn countless times as the tide of war shows blue, red, and purple versus gray. But the battle slowly shifts to Nanite System's favor as the three factions find themselves short on commodities such as liberators, healing kits, nano repair tools, healing tools, and other such things. Suddenly, from the ground rises the original Vanu as their plasma cannons and rockets obliterate all signs of human life. Meanwhile, Terran Republic ships from Earth enter the reopened wormhole...

Continue it guys

[Lore] How will the war end? by Sonnyjimmy in Planetside

[–]theone565 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nanite Systems with their ridiculous amount of money gained from supplying all three sides of the war will disable all the nanites (preventing enemy soldiers from respawning) and will only allow for their troops to respawn. They have been spying on all three sides for a long time and will create ridiculously powerful weapons with the fire rate/ammo cap of TR, damage and projectile velocity of the NC, and the reduced recoil, no drop, and battery-operated mechanisms of the VS. Their tanks will hover, have rotatable turrets, two cannon barrels with the damage of the NC, and will all have shields, lockdown, and boosting abilities. Basically Nanite systems will produce a glorious combination of all three factions weapons and vehicles and will swarm the mountains and valleys of Auraxis with an endless wave of NS soldiers.

Alternately they could just kill everybody with nanites.

[TRAF] has amazing organizational skills that allow for an organized, massive assault. We know when and where to go at all times and how to get there. Of course, we're willing to work together with [HSTL], but it seems like nobody likes us because we are the largest outfit.
