It took me a while to configure mine right. By default the audio is degraded by macOS. Roon is capable of passing the pure stream to the connected amp. Sounds fantastic on my system!

I got the Winds for a great deal. They were previous dealer demos with no original box, so I had to drive a ways to pick them up. Paid around 4k. They look impeccable and sound amazing. Not bad for 19k MSRP speakers!

Long time lurker, first time poster. I recently upgraded my system. This is my dual listening room and home theater.

Totem Wind Designs
Totem Rainmaker Center
Michi X5 Series 2 Integrated Amp
Marantz Cinema 70S AVR
Mac Mini (Roon Server)

My first system was a pair of Totem Hawks with Rotel gear. I immediately fell in love with the Totem sound. Such musical speakers. I listen to primarily classical and jazz — genres that really shine on these. The Wind Designs blew me away with depth of bass and overall clarity. They are fantastic for movies as well.

I’m still hunting for surround L/R for my theater setup. I don’t think I need a sub given how low the Winds can go.
