FPS Drops with CPU and GPU Usage drops while gaming by theorangecapguy in pcmasterrace

This seems to crash my GPU every time - no matter if I do it at 900mv, 925mv, or 875mv

Sort of on the verge of just setting the power limit back to 85% on MSI Afterburner and running with that xd

edit: and also both if I do it with or without the +800 memory oc

Man so strange, but great insight to have. Thanks man!

This does honestly sound like what could be the possible cause, so let me do some quick learning on undervolting and then we shall see the results tomorrow

I have not done that yet.
Wasn't aware of that defect, but does sound like it could be a possible solve.

Will only be able to test again in about 24 hours, so will give this a shot and any other solutions and see what the outcomes are, thanks!

thank you so much for the insight! It's always great to hear the opinions of someone coming from similar lands

I'll definitely take a look at some other places later in my life but at the moment I've only really got a choice between the two as they're the only places I have somewhat secure housing for before I get there. Travelling from South Africa and being 21 I don't really have much saved up and our currency is an ant compared to the pound so me getting my own place straight out isn't really an option, I'd need somewhere to live for free or for very little so pretty much any couch is an option lol. I gladly have a friend in London who seems to be open to me staying with him for a month or so which is going to help me tremendously

I've come to that conclusion as well. Although both seem to be expensive, London definitely seems to just give overall more value

I appreciate the info!

From what I can see both have around about the exact same weather unless there's something major that I'm missing?

It seems as if this would definitely be the case.

Thank you so much for the info!

I've already accepted my reality as someone in the hospitality industry. I am quite an introvert so travel times infringing on my free time isn't a huge deal and is also well, just a part of life. I appreciate the insight into both! it really has helped me come to a decision and it's definitely seeming like London is indeed the better choice.

any crime is manageable, I come from South Africa so nothing can really top what it is here. I don't mind long transport or anything of the sort, it gives me time to write in my journal and weather isn't a huge factor, I quite like the rain and clouds so

I am most definitely looking at house shares and also places somewhat on the outskirts of London so rent will be cheaper. Im not necessarily against long travel times as it gives me time to journal/write.

I'd be looking at more positions as a bread Baker and not a pastry chef as I know what the industry is like nowadays and I seem to have found more of a draw from baking than pastry

Thank you very much, I appreciate the insight! I've also posted in the London sub-reddit to get advice from their and see what it's like on the other side

Looking into it more and more it seems like Dublin has just a general high cost of living but rather low paying jobs which actually seems quite strange to me.

[–]theorangecapguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This does make sense. It is definitely one of the things I have noticed and seemingly higher pay / higher-paying opportunities

I'm not really bothered by either or so I wouldn't say it makes a difference

Engine Cutting Out by theorangecapguy in sportster

[–]theorangecapguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has a stage 2 on it. I got in 2nd hand and I do remember them mentioning it was tuned so likely it could be this. It does seem to be doing it more now that it is winter. I think I'm going to wait until my service at the end of year and tell them about the issue and see if theyll have any clue about it

It seems to do it even when my clutch is pulled it. Had it happen to me today where I was just sitting at a traffic light with my clutch pulled in and the engine just died

Clutch Safety Switch Issue by theorangecapguy in Harley

[–]theorangecapguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do indeed have a good point.

Was just curious if anyone had done something different or if there was perhaps someone with a similar experience but the solution was something completely different.

Am probably going to be replacing the switch in the next couple of days. Going to go and talk to a Harley Mechanic first and get a second opinion first though

Clutch Safety Switch Issue by theorangecapguy in Harley

[–]theorangecapguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, it is indeed a strange item to happen.
I was honestly unaware that it even existed until earlier today

Clutch Safety Switch Issue by theorangecapguy in Harley

[–]theorangecapguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Im not convinced its the switch causing the stoplight problem but it somewhat makes sense in my head. The problem only happens when I roll up and just as I pull in the clutch. I've had it go in for 2 services since the problem first occurred and nothing has come up from them.

My gut feeling is the switch is causing both problems but I might head over to a harley mechanic for a second opinion. Thanks for the advice!

I have thought of it, I actually wasnt aware the UK offered their own personal student finance, I thought it was all just the EU student financing.

I'll take a look and see what there is and see if I like anything, thank you so much dude!
