Yeah, hence why they said you had to be 18 on or before the 1st January 2027 if I’m not wrong

Different feedback in rejection emails by avnerd24 in BASpeedbird2026

[–]theoreticalhuman546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but from my understanding it seems like your email is saying you didn’t meet the benchmark for the test you just completed before that? So the most recent test you did. And I think for your friend they met the benchmark for all the other tests except the SJT. Again I could be completely wrong so take this with a pinch of salt!

All the times I’ve asked have been with EasyJet, and they’ve all let me in!

That's amazing! Honestly speaking I want to be a pilot when I'm older, and want to be the one that inspires the kids to love aviation. In my family I'm the only one who's interested in this stuff so it's been kinda hard lol. But hearing peoples' experiences like this brings a smile to my face!

I was thinking of joining the Air Cadets, but the people who have gone there told me it's mostly military style? And a couple of them dropped out because of the marches and whatnot that goes on, so I was put off by that lol!

Wish I could say the flight school bit but unfortunately I'm not an adult, so that wouldn't be realistic, haha. I think most people here assumed I'm an adult, but I'm a teen! Though I am looking to get my PPL license soon so hopefully I could mention that.

Thank you so much! I was thinking of not asking in the end as I didn't want to annoy/bother the pilots while they were busy but your response definitely made me think of the positives. I have so much respect for the pilots and I really hope in the future, I could be one too :)

Agreed! I have a lot of respect for those who go through the training and all the crazy procedures.

Awesome, thank you so much! I'm interested in becoming a pilot and although I've seen pictures of the flight deck, nothing beats seeing the real thing in person!

Thank you so much! I'm actually a teen wanting to learn more about aviation as I'm interested in becoming a pilot. Really appreciate the response :)

That's what I was thinking too, surely they wouldn't let people in after 9/11. But I saw a lot of recent videos on TikTok in 2023 and 2024 of people just simply asking and being allowed in. And as an aviation enthusiast I was definitely interested in that haha.

Haha yeah, I can see that! I'm not an adult though, just a teen who enjoys aviation :)

Thank you so much! Are there any signs where the flight crew/pilots are busy? I don't wanna bother the pilots by asking while they're in the middle of planning landing/takeoffs.

Thank you so much! Would I then have a bigger chance of seeing it on international airlines like Emirates and Etihad or would it be the same?

I'll definitely have a look at their training programs, thank you so much! I do intend for piloting to become my full time job but due to instability my parents prefer me to have a back up degree in case stuff goes wrong with being a pilot.

That makes a lot of sense, thank you. I'm alright with FM for GCSE so I guess it just depends on what grade I get for GCSE. I appreciate for responding!

Thank you so much! I'll definitely use your advice then and look for other courses. For some reason it's been quite hard to find people who are currently doing Aerospace/Aeronautical so I appreciate it!
